Ben Shalom tried to get BBC iPlayer to broadcast their fights .. that's a sign of desperation..

That means TNT and DAZN turned them down.

Also if Boxxer can't secure a big TV deal , their fighters become free agents

Free Adam Azim , Ben Whittaker, Callum Simpson lool

If true, I hope, the fighters you mention, are able to terminate their contract, under this circumstances. It will depend on what's in their individual agreements.

Fighters will become free agents is very likely, Boxxer fighters unable to get TV dates and a promotion that will simply fold anyway without a major TV deal as unable to pay fighters what their contracts stipulate. The revenue stream will already have dried up, where can Boxxer now go?

This is far beyond a scenario like having Bill Ives who backed Frank Warren and Boxnation with what seemed a long shot of ever succeeding but what always going to incur heavy losses, cards on a stand alone channel and a niche sport to boot.

According to Hearn on ring magazine YouTube he brokered the deal between Allen and TKV for British and commonwealth but Shalom was trying for Clarke vs TKV all along and scuppered the deal

End of the road for Boxxer. In this game of sharks you cant exist forever, they had a decent run in the spotlight.

Perhaps Ben Shalom's father will have to find him a new job. Perhaps working in the city in finance would be more interesting for him.

This boxing lark is not for him.

hahaha. I know what you mean. I meant in the context that they even had some form of platform e.g. Sky. There are not many small promoters who have any platform at all in this period of big fish i.e. Hearn, Arum, DAZN, PBC, GBP, Warren etc. So the fact the somebody like Ben Shalom (who is almost fresh out of university) even had some sort of run during this time says a lot.

Next week is August and we we're promised a big announcement a month ago.

Yeah, they’re gone. I just hate the BS. He’d be more respected if he had said the truth rather than this ‘ big announcement at the end of June ‘ ‘ major shows planned for the summer ‘ etc etc. Sometimes things fail, it happens to everybody and it’s how you bounce back. Why try to save face ? Don’t be scared to hit rock bottom, it’s all upwards from there.

Can’t imagine there will be a big queue, particularly from Frank for their massive stable of women boxers. If Sky did push them down his throat he should have stood up to them a bit more. Ultimately his acquiescence ( that’s a good word ) cost him his business.

It’s like these women footballers wanting equal pay or people saying that Lauren James is the best footballer in the world. Male footballers don’t get equal pay. Does Harry Kane get paid the same as Newport County’s no.9. It’s ridiculous and babyish but I am getting off the point of the thread a bit.

He seems quite down to earth, the lad likes to dress well nothing wrong with that, as long as your grateful to God for what he has given you ..
