Great news. Parker is really the only legacy defining fight left for Usyk to take before he calls it quits. Hopefully they make it happen.
Yes! Hopefully we get a conclusion shortly without delays and get another championship fight this year, because one heavyweight championship fight a year is not the go.
Where do you reckon it would take place? Usyk probably has enough fans in the UK now for a stadium fight headlining against a non-Brit, as long as the co-main and undercard has plenty of Brits.
Or maybe the road warrior will want to further cement his reputation and fight Joe in New Zealand? That would be dope!
Parker at least was a former world champion. Kabayel is fine as a challenger, but Usyk would make him look average/poor because of the levels difference, so afterwards Usyk wouldn't get the credit, they'd just say Kabayel was never a champion and dismiss him.
Personally, I think Usyk will school Parker easily too. If he does that, Kabayel will be a number 1 contender. If Agit doesn't lose along the way of course.
I Love Usyk. I think he's absolutely outstanding. But.... I really rate Parker and I think he gives Usyk his toughest fight to date. Both fighters come out battered and Usyk gets the win.
Hopefully Usyk will decide to defend rather than vacate his WBO title. He has some weeks to decide. Parker vs Usyk will be more competitive than Dubois vs Usyk, because Parker has better skills and is a more intelligent fighter than Dubois. It's an intriguing matchup.
Kabayel, Hrgovic, Dubois, Itauma, arguably even parker (he's only 33 somehow) are all next-gen, winning those aren't necessary and he's doing it anyway, I think anything after Fury I has been victory lap
