I think a lot of people on this forum would say they'd rather see Usyk vs Parker but when it came down to paying for it they would be hesitant
Kabayel knocking out Zhang > Parker decision vs Zhnag Kabayel Knocking out Sanchez > Parker beating past it Wilder on points Knocking out Makhmudov > Bakole from the Parker fight considering the context Kabayel even did better vs Chisora than Parker did the first time but that was a while ago
Sanchez was top 10 range at the time and better than every Parker win besides Zhang and maybe Wilder I guess Makmuhdov was a legit prospect
That's a good Question. I don't think there is much money to be made in New Zealand, so my guess is Poland, the UK, or Vegas.
Yet Wilder and Bakole were proven opponents and Parker manhandled Chisora in the second. Look, I get. We both want to see the deserving fighters have their time. But ranking the credibility of legit contenders by how many knock outs they've had is a game for the casuals.
I think Parker and Fa drew 12,000 I dont think NZ gets a look in. Parker has a pretty big fan base in Aussie and they love their boxing over the ditch. Big Kiwi/Pacific Island diaspora there too. Have the fight in Melbourne and you'd get a good turnout. The only issue would be the time difference.
Cool. So he beat an injured Sanchez (guy was wearing a damn knee brace) and a prospect who's done sweet FA since lol Where's @BubblesUK when you need him...
Sucks that Turki couldnt have just turned out to be good for boxing. We were so close to getting a restructuring that the sport badly needed for so long. Instead its becoming clear we got an immature dictator that doesnt care about things like professionalism, what the fans want, or whose deserving of what. He operates out of ego. This cant hurt boxing more than boxing had already hurt itself, but it definitely puts a damper on Turki being the savior boxing was hoping for. .... Sucks because it also puts Usyk in a bad position. Obviously he likely wants to keep good relaations with his business partner and his highest payer... but he probably also wants to do the right thing and give Parker his deserved shot. Juvenile Turki doesn't do well when fighters dont do what he wants them to. Interesting to see how this plays out.
I think Turyi flat-out wants a Brit that he can sell to the British. It sucks and it's not fair, but I really do think its that simple.
Just a friendly reminder Parker barely beat journeyman Ruiz, was easily outboxed by AJ, lost to Whyte, got KO'd by Joyce, almost lost to Chisora. On a good note, he beat an old man in Zhang while getting dropped and an old and shot to pieces Wilder. People are just desperate because nobody is left for Usyk.
