Wlad would be hard for Usyk to handle. Bazooka jab, one of the best right hands in history of the HW division (the best weapon for a southpaw), very good footwork and elite clinching game he could actually use, unlike big sack of fat that Fury was trying doing that. 50/50 for me. Usyk schools Vitali tho and it would look terrible for the older Klitschko. He was swinging at air against Byrd, imagine what Usyk would do to him.

Nope, he schools vitali and has a 50-50 fight against prime wlad, because wlad has an atg jab and atg range game with atg power in both hands and atg hugging skills. I would have loved to see this fight

Usyk has proven he is very smart and excels at exposing weaknesses, and that he can handle much bigger fighters than him. Wlad and Vitali never showed the same level of ring IQ that Usyk has, they relied primarily on their physical attributes first and boxing 2nd. Usyk is the other way around.

I think Usyk would have handled Wlad quite easily and send Wlad on ***** street with shaky legs like other lesser fighters have. Vitali would go 12 rounds but I doubt he has a fallback plan to beat Usyk when realizes size and strength doesn't matter with Usyk.

Vitali has terrible footwork and very little power so no he does not beat Usyk

Wlad vs Usyk is close to a 50/50 fight

Id favor Usyk because of his superior engine

Vitali actually has a work rate and stamina that most these other super heavyweights lack which could leave him in very good stead.

People forget sometimes that AJ and Fury were quite competitive in stretches but Uysk's 1st gear and gas tank took over. But Vitali did have some problems with Byrd on the other hand.

Didn't Usyk punch Wlad up in sparring?

Sparring stories are irrelevant to the real fight as we witness quite often.

I don't see Usyk losing to Chris Byrd, Lamon Brewster, Ross Purity, Corrie Sanders....he beat Joshua, and he is at the level where people are saying him and Lewis is a good fight.

    So...

If Usyk fought as many times as Wladimir Klitschko he would lose sometimes. His body would probably be broken down in far fewer fights.

Usyk's fought 24 pro fights over 12 years, (or 30 fights in 13 years if we count the 'WSB' as pro fights). Over half of those fights were against cruiserweight size opponents.
It's worth remembering that Wladimir Klitschko went 11 years from 2004 to 2015 without a loss too, on a 22 fight winning streak. All against heavyweights. Mostly against ranked contenders, includes Byrd, Sam Peter, Chagaev, Ibragimov, Haye, Povetkin, Pulev, to name a few.
He also has a 16 fight winning streak between the Purity loss and the Sanders loss (which includes his first win against Byrd, and wins against Botha, McCline, Mercer).
And he started his pro career with a streak of 24 wins.

I don't think Usyk could go 69-0 on that schedule, over a 21 year period.
If he started his career at 20 years old he'd have been knocked out probably before he gets to Purity.
If we wait for him to get to age 26 before we turn him professional, he'd be fighting a 27 year old AJ when he's 47 years old, but he wouldn't even get that far. He'd probably get injured too much and retire 10 or 15 years early.

Of course Lewis v Usyk is a good fight. So is Lewis v Wlad or Usyk v Wlad. So is Lewis v Fury.

Wlad has a stronger right hand than Wilder, is huge AND he can box(he didn't lose a round in 10 years). For me it's a 60/40 fight in favor of Dr. Steelhammer by KTFO.

I would favor Usyk against Vitali though.

Only way to beat Vitali was by injury. So, if Usyk can’t injure him he loses.

I agree that Vitali is the easier fight for Usyk, bad style match up for Vitali IMO.

Wlad is a really interesting one, and I think it's really won or lost on intagibles. Wlad seemed to have mental vulnerabilities at times, and I think Usyk's unshaking confidence and the fact he would catch Wlad with sneaky jabs and backhands would eat into Wlads confidence and he might get gunshy - we saw this with Wlad against Fury, and Haye to a lesser extent.

A real 50/50 and could see a close points win for either, or even a draw.

Haye is a CW as well and to be honest, I always thought Wlad's victory against him was very unflattering. He fought an injured midget compared to him (yes I am using the toe excuse) and barely managed to eek out a win by hugging and touching him up with a jab a few more times.

Byrd is a blown up LHW, Ibragimov and Chagaev may as well be CWs. (What a great performance he had against Ibragimov btw).

Povetkin was literally the most disgusting rigged "win" (I had a hard time typing those 3 letters out) if I've seen one against a very out of shape pre-roids Povetkin. It should be counted as a DQ loss in the boxing canon.

He also got beat by guys that... Usyk beat. I know it's rock paper scissors but that not exactly a good look. Wlad's resume is filled with more CWs than Usyk's, the moment he fought two big guys with a modicum of skill, he got exposed as a size merchant.

Those are all good points but Byrd especially and Haye to lesser extent, did beat heavyweights and did weigh 215 pounds or so.
We can throw Usyk's best cruisers into the mix and include them as heavyweights and Wlad's body of work still eclipses Usyk's by a clear magnitude.

I don't rate Wladimir particularly highly and I agree about the Povetkin fight especially. It was disgraceful.
