The old injured Lion Vitali who beat Chisora vs prime joshua. I think Vitali stops him

Vitali doesn't have enough of a pop to trouble AJ, who only seems to have life and death problems with big punchers. The workrate would kill him tho. I'd go with Vitali by clear UD like Usyk in their first fight.

Ruiz hits harder than Vitali. Usyk didn't hurt AJ.

I think AJ probably gasses out and gets stopped in the 11th or 12th round. Against a prime Vitali probably gasses out in 7 or 8 rounds.

The AJ that fought Wlad vs Vitali who fought Chisora?

    KO either way is unlikely.

Wlad was better than Vitali, but Vitali probably would've been awkward for Joshua at any stage...

I'd probably go SD for Joshua, though wouldn't bet on it.

    Vitali gets overrated on here.

You don't have to be a savage puncher to put AJ down. Joshua is a mentally weak Glass Jawed Fighter this is the type of opponent someone like Vitali thrived against. AJ would get ground down and knocked out in 7 or 8 rounds. Maybe sooner.

How come a 6' 7'' , 248 lbs giant doesn't have enough power to knock out AJ? I checked boxrec, it says Vitaly won 41 of 45 fights by KO, it makes 91% KO percentage.

Vitali's workrate in that fight for a 41 year old and he fought much the fight with one arm.

Vitali is more of an (excellent) accumulation puncher than a true destroyer.

Most of these weren't stoppages coming off 1 shot KOs but accumulation of punches against overmatched opponents not even close to the level AJ was at. Vitali couldn't drop washed up Briggs landing 300 shots on him. He had below average power for his size.

Vitali was a bit of a arm puncher.

I think it could be to do with his injuries over the years. He definitely had comfortably above average power in his first career.

He can hurt aj with a right hand or a temple shot, he was the ony one to drop Larry Donald and hits harder than Ruiz who was never a big puncher.

If AJ could take a flush shot from Wlad, who hits 3x harder than Vitali, he would be fine.

But he didn’t "take the shot". Wlad was old as hell and aj was dropped like a sack of potatoes with that right hand. He got Punched around by Ruiz, staggered by a 39 year old Povetkin and wiped out by underdog Daniel Dubois after coming off a dominant win against Wallin.

joshuas has been knocked out in the amateurs multiple times. To say Vitali can't hurt this guy is pretty crazy imo
