Hopefully Makmudastein will have his neck twitch repaired in time for the bout. Sad to see a man so haunted by a deformity.
Makhmudov should mop the canvas with him but is just enough of a big useless inconsistent lump to find a way to lose.
Both are weak gatekeepers at best. But, I do actually like this fight in a way. I think Makhmudov has a bit more to him than Allen does though considering he was able to beat Takam even a faded version and any version of Takam beats Allen personally. I don't like triangle theories especially in boxing but remember Takam beat Yoka comfortably whom Yoka absolutely dominated Dave Allen. I don't even rate Makhmudov at all. I'm only using this to show that Dave Allen really is just British level at best honestly, every time he has a win over a hype job such as Lucas Browne or Johnny Fisher - people then start gassing up Dave Allen. Makhmudov mid to late rounds TKO.
Yeah, there's a difference between triangle-theorizing and just plain tiering. (really the former is meant for people on the same general plane, ie when all three are world ranked contenders you go with "styles make fights" over who beat who) Makhmudov living up to his full potential is a full couple of levels over Allen. Problem is he doesn't always. He's a lazy sod.
Yeah I know Makhmudov is a weak gatekeeper at best but he is better than Fisher for sure and that Makhmudov should surely connect his favourite punch as he has decent power considering the opposition in front of him in Allen has absolutely no head movement whatsoever.
You are absolutely right though, styles make fights, but also one needs to be proven himself. I'm basically trying to say that Dave Allen is genuinely just British level at best and is getting a bit of attention just because he beat a complete utter hype job.
Allen by late stoppage. Mak will throw wildly for a few rounds and may score a knockdown, but Allen will just keep coming forward and mak will fade quickly.
