Now you know dadgum well that wasn't even close to a prime Roy Jones. That being said, the Roy that whooped Ruiz loses to this HW version of Usyk.

 

I’m going to assume he means if they were the same size - in that case, I won’t say I agree, but that I wouldn’t be able to pick a winner in such a ridiculous hypothetical match up.

 

while i do like roy, he cherry picked the EASIEST of the heavy belt holders at the time. and, if you were knocked out by tarver, (i was there!) you would be put to sleep by usyk.

 

At heavyweight or Cruiserweight Usyk knocks him out. Roy was a great fighter but there are levels to this.

Usyk would kill him. As good as RJJ is, he has a sus chin. Usyk may not be the hardest hitter, but he hits hard enough to spark these behemoth heavyweights.

 

If size wasnt an issue and they we,re the exact same size ect. I,d probably take roy to win.

Usyks been built so well he can pretty much adapt to any style. But roy was special before the downfall. As hard as usyk is to adapt to....roy was probably even harder to adapt to. No one got off before roy....he closed the distance before you could get your own stuff off....which makes him probably an even bigger nightmare to fight than even usyk.

Great fight tbf. Could make a case for either to win. Usyk is as a complete fighter as you,ll find......but roy had that talent that sometimes superscedes someone that does pretty much everything right.

 

Roy is too small.. his punch would have little effect on Usyik cause he would have to do that on the fleet.

 

Usyk would savagely KO any version of Roy at Cruiserweight or Heavyweight.

 

He wouldn't have fought any of Usyk, Wilder, Joshua or Fury. He fought a slow poke tailor made for him. Roy was great but that was a cherry pick. Though still a good win considering the jump in weight and Ruiz was a capable fighter.

 

Do they tell Usyk that Roy is a Russian citizen?
