Is there really a rumor of Joshua fighting Yoka?

Better than Jake Paul, I guess. I get it...comeback fight against a gold medalist, and a pretty easy win:

    About ten minutes in:

Didn't Eddie Hearn say that AJ would return against a top 15 opponent?

Yoka has shown he is a weak gatekeeper and a hype job at best that undeservedly won a hometown Olympic gold.

Even a washed AJ should smash Yoka into bits and early. Maybe it would be fine on a undercard but this shouldn't be main event worthy.

Yoka is a decent opponent but beating him shouldn't move AJ much closer to another title shot. Joshua is firmly among the second tier "contenders" now and Yoka is probably at least a tier below that.
It's a good fight for Yoka, more so than for Joshua.

I'd rather see Joshua against Ajagba or Wardley or Huni. If he can best someone like that we can talk about him being in the mix again.
Or Ruiz 3 or Miller, just for old time's sake and for kicks.

Turki is keen to make Fury-Joshua but he wants both to have a win beforehand to help sell that fight. Yoka? He's not rated by anybody but I guess a win is a win?

Unless it's for a world title, Joshua won't be matched with someone who has a lot of firepower and a decent chin, and preferably they'd go for opponents with no better than average in either category.
They won't venture above the level of the Helenius or Wallin fights.

I'd hoped that Turki had known by now that tune-up and marinating fights is a stupid idea.

I can see why he wouldn't want Fury and Joshua both coming into their fight off losses. Not a great look when you are trying to sell a fight.

Tony Yoka is ready to cash out vs UK heavyweights in the UK. He'll probably fight a few in a row, and will lose convincingly to all of them.

Yep even hardcore fans will be more interested if both Fury and AJ are coming off the back of KO wins.
