This would be a competitive fight. Galento had an iron chin, so he wouldn't immediately fold under the first hard shots that Williams lands. He also hit hard enough to hurt Williams.

I think it’s competitive in the early going, but Galento wins by stoppage.

They were the same level. At least.

Williams in a short, but entertaining fight, but once Williams finds his timing, he’d time Galento with lead uppercuts, and Galento would start a tire after starting fast and would become a sitting duck for the combinations of Williams, he’d go to the body with lead hooks, make him cover up, open him up for the lead uppercuts to the head again and would stop him.

He could get caught while committing to lead hooks with an overhand right, but I see Williams getting there first on most occasions, especially when Galento tires mid rounds.

Depends on if Galento plans on showering, if not Cleve would be overwhelmed by his stench in the clinch and pass out.

I like Williams but Galento is a live underdog. One more time, the man was not totally without skills and his left hook was no mirage.

Oh boy…I’m picking Galento. I don’t know any KO artist that Cleveland beat. Don’t like picking Galento though

I’ve got Williams though he might cop a wobble along the way to busting Galento up for the stoppage. The Cat’s chin isn’t as nearly as bad as some would have it - his record literally defies said underratings of his whiskers.

Two aggressive sluggers, one has an iron chin while the other doesn't.
Galento's showing against Nova and Nathan Mann makes me confident he dents Williams a lot sooner than Williams dents him.

Galento s power and unpredictability make him a threat for a few rounds, but William s wins by decisive ko or tko in the middle round s.

For all those picking Williams, this is 6"2 207 lbs Lou Nova three months before Galento knocked him out

Nova "pushes" his jab and raises his chin at the same time. Hard to believe he was a contender/title challenger with those types of beginner flaws. Joe Louis had a target rich environment with guys like Nova, Galento, and Baer around.

His chin is fine, it's his balance when he gets hit a few times in succession. Pug, what does it mean to cop a wobble?
