I'm so confused. They announced it as a TKO4 at two minutes into the fourth round.

I just rewound the video stream and the round went the full three minutes.

Also, right before the bell Escobar was motioning for the ref to call a time out indicating something was in his eye (Vaseline maybe) and he got whacked by Maia taking advantage. Didn't go down, though.

Rangel, a 24 year old from Mexico with a 9-2 record, is nicknamed "El Tití"...which doesn't mean what it sounds like but is still a very goofy moniker for a prizefighter.

It means "The Auntie".

 

Actually, just learned something new - Tití means Auntie (as a diminutive of "tía") in Puerto Rico, Spain, and some other Latino countries.

However, in Mexico, where he's from, it's used as slang for "dude" (probably evolving from being used there as short for "tío" / uncle).

So then, Eduardo "The Dude" Rangel.
