Yeah that whole thing was confusing. It certainly seemed to me that the 4th round had concluded. I almost posted my 40-36 score!

    Round 1

Sánchez is catching Rangel's right jab on his left forearm. Sánchez staying low, legs spread into a wide base, feeling out Rangel and poking some jabs at the body. Right hand on the body diving in by Sánchez, pulling out as soon as Rangel looks to be winding up a counter. Sánchez holds out his left arm straight to parry and fling away some Rangel jabs. Sánchez with a quick right on the body slotted in under Rangel's left glove, darting out after landing. Rough clinch. Flurry by Sánchez.

    10-9 Sánchez, close & cagey

Quite a few Tití supporters in the YouTube chat. The number of viewers has almost doubled since I last checked - now more than 1.5k tuned in.

Headlock/toss-down by Sánchez there, not a knockdown.

Rangel snuck in a couple of good left hands just before the bell to end round 2, but not enough to steal it.

    20-18 Sánchez

Interesting. I suppose it's a reasonably big regional fight.

My Mexican wife (as in, born and raised in Mexico) agrees that Titi is what you say it is. She says she hasn’t heard it used for a male as you describe. She says Tito is a nickname for “Ernesto”, however.

    go figure.

    Round 3

Sánchez meets Rangel in the middle of the ring with a sporting knuckle-bump of their leading hands. Sánchez now ducking a left hand and popping Rangel in the face with a right hook stepping in. Awkward clinch, with Rangel accidentally wrenching on Sánchez's arm. Ref sends them each to a neutral corner to restore order. He looks pissed at Rangel. The corner works on a cut/swelling by Rangel's left eye. Time in. Sánchez with a quick double jab and right cross, dropping Rangel like a sack of potatoes by the ropes! He's up, but slowly and unsteadily. Rangel starts walking towards his corner, who are beckoning him over and motioning to quit. That's it!

    KO3!!!

Is she from a city? From what I read the use as "dude" is primarily among residents of mountainous regions of Mexico.

FWIW, the state Rangel is from, Nuevo León, does have the Sierra Madre running through it.

It was a beautiful 1-1-2 combo that scored the knockdown. I wouldn't have been mad at the ref letting Rangel continue there ...but the fact that he kind of stumbled toward his corner with a confused and disoriented expression tells me that his corner / the doctor made the right call.

Rangel's neck/head may have struck the middle rope on his way down, from the slow-mo replays. Hard to say for sure from that angle, since the ref steps in the way of the camera.

Interesting card. You really have to pay attention to figure out what's going on when you don't know the language. I could follow the action better than I thought going in.
