Is Joseph Parker too evolved for the 1970s ?

Better how because he beat Ali? Lets be real Chisora would knock out Norton easily if they ever fought. Kinda weird to say the fighter who would lose to the other is better.

Because obviously Usyk hasn't gotten better since WSB........

Parker is Samoan and they are traditionally thick built and bottom heavy .. he dos not look overly muscular and cut but large and thick , natural for him as he is now in his mid-thirties ..

I disagree .. he is fleshy and thick, not muscular ... he does not see quicker or harder hitting ... surviving a 40 year old Big Bang or an atrocious Wilder pushing forty does not make him a late break out adonis .. I'm not saying he's not taking supplements as all of them do but it's not like he's put on forty pounds of muscle.

Chisora has lost virtually every big fight he has fought. He is a gutsy guy but he has lost virtually every big fight he has been in.

Norton would beat Chisora and would do so with relative ease. Nothing weird about it. Not only did Norton beat Ali, he also ran another top 5 ATG heavyweight in Holmes to a split decision. And he has notable wins over Jimmy Young and Quarry, two of the best fighters ever not to win a world title.

Chisora has twice as many losses as Norton and nowhere near the quality of wins. How exactly would Chisora "easily" ko Norton when he couldn't ko Henenius, Pulev or Whyte? Lol.

So basically results based analysis instead of actually looking at how they matchup. Let me help you: how does a big strong heavy handed brawler matchup with a guy with a bad chin who can't fight on the backfoot at all gee I wonder......

Chisora is not some great puncher like Shavers or Cooney. He is a above average puncher at best. And he does not have the skill to pierce Norton's defense. Norton would outbox him with ease on the front foot, beat him to the punch with more accurate and faster shots and stop him or win a comfortable decision.

Norton defense wasn't great lol he got hit plenty that's why power punchers gave him trouble guess what Chisora is..... I'm sorry bro but matchups don't work like rankings just because someone is ranked higher doesn't mean they'll win against someone lower ranked and Chisora is the worst kind of opponent for Norton

Offensive linemen of today would gas and be useless in some earlier iterations of football.

In two-platoon days (when players played both ways), they’d never leave the field and would probably have to be lifted off the field by cranes when they crashed from exhaustion before halftime.

Nowadays, with TV commercials every few minutes and instant replays holding up play, they work for an average of like 6-7 seconds per play (for fewer plays than back in the day due to rule changes to meet TV windows while adding commercial time and breaks for replay reviews and such) for 40-something seconds of rest between plays … and that’s without all the breaks.

In the 1960s when a team punted and the offense ran onto the field and got ready to snap the ball (without time for beer and insurance commercials except for the few games that were televised, and those commercial breaks were fewer and shorter), they’d probably make it to the end of the third quarter before tapping out.

I’ll also note that other rules of today’s game favor huge, fat linemen (6-foot-7, 340 pound types) — pass blocking is basically extending arms and moving feet to create a fence; and the rules have pushed the game into more of a 7-on-7 passing drill type of game (you hear the term ‘basketball on turf’ used a lot). Go back to the days when teams ran the ball and they were colliding with defensive linemen every play, both going forward, and trying to push defenders backwards. That takes more strength and stamina than just chicken-fighting to hold a guy from taking a straight line.

Whyte has pretty chinny and Chisora never dropped him. Chisora has the power to do damage but Norton can outbox Chisora and would outclass him on the inside, i highly doubt he is hitting like Shavers and Foreman. Chisora has also lost to way too many people, stopped about as many times as Norton. Norton didn't do good against punchers but even someone like Cooney would have destroyed Chisora pretty easily

Garcia KO’d Norton at 188lbs, a guy who is extremely physical, had Frazier’s punch stat numbers matched in a 12 rounder… who wasn’t scared or shy, a guy with a helluva chin and decent pop… he’d beat the F out of Norton he’d have like 40lbs on him, he’d lean in and march him around the ring wherever he wanted. Norton would fall apart on the inside with War Boy… I don’t like DC he’s a clown, I also don’t like saying “Oh but Kenny beat a guy we regard highly who fights nothing like him so he’d do it easy done” lol.

Not relevant he hits hard enough to trouble Norton and again Norton couldn't fight off the backfoot all you really need to beat him
