He was up on the cards, but the fight was close. Byrd only landed 8 less punches and on the way higher percentage. Ultimately, it doesn't matter who's up on the cards. The final result is what counts. Dubois was up on the cards against Joyce too.

Not only that. He was so far up on every card that if he could have continued and lost every round clearly after, he still would have won by unanimous decision.
The fight wasn't close at all.
But Vitali later stated that the pain was too severe to continue.

Scorecards didn't reflect the fight at all. He got that home town scoring on his side.

Every round was competitive but Vitali was very obviously the winning side. No one can know what would happen if it continued but Vitali wasn’t really in any danger of losing until the injury, Byrd was just “losing well” mostly, giving Vitali a work-out as he was going down.

Vitali was winning, but the fight was close. I had it 86-85 for Vitali. Ultimately, Byrd made him injure himself and quit. That's all she wrote. Vitali never wanted to rematch him, which says a lot.

Bull! The average fan scoring was 88-83 to Vitali after 9, just like 2 of the judges, and scoring the 9th for Byrd.
Byrd had only won round 6 before that.
The only judge you could question gave #6 to Byrd but not round #9. But the rest of his scorecard was like the fans scored it too.

I watched this fight recently, that's just not true. 88-83 is only acceptable if you give all close rounds to Klit, even if Byrd landed better shots. But we need to overhype Vitali somehow I guess since he got so shyte of a resume.

    Vitali.

Tyson Fury is a lazy SOB and he's been sat down by smaller guys before. There's a chance, even though its slim.

Vitali has a nuclear bunker for a chin, trained like Leonidas and had a high workrate so you couldn't even bite down on the mouthguard, eat the punches, and outwork the guy. His only 2 losses are to freak occurrences.

Yeah Fury looked so fast and fluid here.
