I’d let AJ knock me out 5x for 5 million 100mil for three fights he had good odds for… that’s gonna haunt him for life me thinks.

I think Wilder deep down knows that he trusted the wrong people. He literally fired the guy who presented him the best deal of his career.

I was watching Povetkin vs AJ just before, trying to reacquaint myself and AJ really didn’t move his head, he seemed spiritually against it.

Has Joshua ever beat a smaller skillful Heavyweight like Young ? because i think Young is a bit more proven against big imposing punchers rather than the other way around.

I believe Joshua would actually be better fighting a smart fight rather than trying to bomb Young out of there.

If Joshua boxes the way he did vs Parker, Ruiz 2, then he can win a rather uneventful tactical fight via decision as Young can't pressure Joshua on the front foot.

But if Joshua tries to fight aggressively and tries to bomb Young out of there he might gas in the 2nd half of the fight and then it might get interesting.

Overall i'd favour Joshua by decision.

Usyk dismantles Young bad style matchup. Unlike Ali, Usyk is very good on the front foot and his feints would play havoc on Young. Young might have the occasional success with the right hand countering Usyk when he gets too excited, but eventually Usyk breaks him down and stops him late.

I will agree that AJ is better than his record reflects. Ok, the loss to Ruiz, god knows what happened there. That's his worst loss. At least he avenged it. Two losses to Usyk? Those have aged well -- in the rematch, he did about as well as anybody has against Usyk. And Dubois? Ok, he just straight up got chinned. But Dubois is a huge puncher. He could get lucky against anyone. Although.... given that Dubios got knocked out by Usyk, I'm wondering what would have happened if AJ had kept his damn left hand up when he threw that lead right uppercut. If Usyk could chin Dubois, AJ sure as hell could.

Yes, Wilder turned down a fight against AJ in '21 for more money but I highly doubt he was scared. He wanted redemption against Fury. In what world does it make sense, "Yeah I'm scared of this guy who was KTFO by a last second substitute, unranked chubster. I like my chances better against the guy who dominated me and shattered my aura of invincibility"
As for Klitschko, that's just non-sense. Their was no offer from Wlad's camp to fight Wilder for undisputed. Wlad himself said, he'd like to face Wilder..... AFTER beating Fury which did not happen.

“It’s true I never held the WBC title and a unification fight against Deontay Wilder would be fantastic,” Klitschko said via Fightnews.com. “It’s not going to happen next. I think Deontay need to defend his title first time, and probably such fight can happen at the beginning of next year.”

Yes Wilder shares some blame for the AJ fight not happening, but your notion that Wilder was the sole reason and AJ's hands are completely clean is non-sense.

    Eddie Hearn in April 2018:

"Wilder is a massive high risk fight and it’s the biggest fight in British boxing. Yes, Joshua wants greatness, but it is also a business. I wouldn’t expect you to take a job that was much harder and much more risk for a similar kind of money. You would just keep working on the easy stuff. This is a massive job - the biggest job out there - but what’s the money? It’s just a little bit more than you’re on at the moment. He is not worth 60/40 - nowhere near. I’m sorry but that’s the reality. Maybe Josh will pay over time, but I don’t think he should. This is the biggest fight of his career and maybe the biggest fight of his career forever.”

    https://www.express.co.uk/sport/box...e-Hearn-Deontay-Wilder-Boxing-news-Fight-Hype

He also rejected a 50/50 split in one offer to face the winner of Wilder-Fury II and insisted he'd only take 70% despite just losing his title against Ruiz, and regaining it in an uninspiring fashion against a woefully out of shape and lethargic version in the rematch.

"'Everything takes explanation, I don’t understand why it should be a 50/50 split.

It was the biggest upset when I got beat, it should be the biggest comeback when I came back. I want it all, I want 70 per cent." - Anthony Joshua

    https://www.asbnews.ng/2020/01/25/a...-offer-to-face-winner-of-wilder-fury-rematch/

"The Deontay Wilder fight, if I was Anthony Joshua, I’d be leaving that for a little while."

    https://metro.co.uk/2018/05/08/barry-hearn-urges-anthony-joshua-reject-deontay-wilder-fight-7530743/
"I always think about that one punch, no one can beat me skill-for-skill, I don’t think. But it’s that one punch: I’d hate for that to be the reason why I lose. One punch. And that’s what they’re all looking at. Every fight is scary. You don’t want to lose everything you’ve got – especially this one – this was a banana-skin fight because of what’s to come. As with the Parker fight, I didn’t want to take any risks." - Anthony Joshua, 2018

Probably Joshua. Young had nothing to earn Joshua’s respect and would most likely run all evening which would hurt him on the cards

I can easily see Young seeing all of Joshua's telegraphed punches, avoiding or riding them, and countering him to a split decision win, when he's expended himself by missing much more than he lands.
Joshua's endurance was in generally seriously degraded as early as seven rds.
Young schools him after for split decision win in a 12 rd fight, a ud in a 15rd fight, possibly a late stoppage for Young, because Joshua could actually quit from exhaustion.

It was before the Fury II fight in 2019.
