Mahkmudov The Neck scheduled against Dave Allen

Could go either way but I think Makhmudov has enough power to stop a easy target in Allen. They're both evenly technically crap and have glaring flaws in their game.

I like Allen but he is British level at best.

 

The betting odds will be interesting, I think Makhmudov will be the favourite at 2/5 and Allen at 2/1.

No other country has similar numbers, not even close. Using "British level" as a derogatory term in heavyweight boxing is quite bold. Tell me, what other levels are there?
Out of the last 10 BBBofC champs, 3 have went on to become champions, and 2 more have challenged for titles.
I´d say the Brits are doing rather well as heavyweights. Dave Allen would easily be among the 10 best American heavyweight, had he been born there.

 

Seems pretty clear he means domestic level/British Title level, which I'd agree with (and don't really see him winning the British title either unless he got a soft touch). Nothing to do with how many Brits are in Top 10, because clearly those guys are 'World' level.

 

Exactly 8 out of the top 17 current heavyweights on boxrec are British.

No national level of heavyweights is anywhere near as strong as the brits now

Using 'british level' as derogatory seems wrong.

I don't even rate Makhmudov highly any more but still above Allen but I am always humble enough to admit I was wrong

allen i dont think has it to win but then again when he is ready for it. i think he can pull off an upset
