Canelo doesn’t have a high enough work rate to compete. Ward would win a comfortable UD.

Both these guys like to play defence. Canelo is best when guys come to him and Ward likes a potshot-and-hold approach. This would be one horrible fight imho.

    Ward with consumate ease.

Canelo has no shot in Hell against any of the top 4 all time 168 pounders (Jones, Calzaghe, Toney, Ward).

He was fortunate to feast on the Callum Smiths and Caleb Plants of the world.

At what weight? 168 or 175? Ilke Ward at 168; Canelo doesn't let his hands go enough (in my opinion)

However I think he has a better shot at 175,. The Andre that fought Kovalev 1 was "touchable" and Canelo could get a decision ( controversial)

The 2016 Kovalev was better than Canelo. Hell even the washed up, alcoholic Kovalev was leading Canelo on points going into the 11th round.

Ward beats Canelo at either weight.

I'm not sold on Canelo beating Kessler and Froch, let alone Ward.

Ward in a competitive, but deserved decision, 116-112 type scorecard.

If Ward really pushed for it he could pull a stoppage on a physical and mental exhausted Canelo
No rounds off or slowing down the pace for Canelo in this fight.

Wards physical dominance and inside strength is all wrong for Canelo. Ward is just a horrible style for him.

No criticism of Ward for his dirty tactics?

Agree with most of what’s been said already although I don’t think that Ward would stop Alvarez. Canelo’s best chance is catching Ward early with a liver shot (or some very generous scoring in his favour by the judges).

Ward and very easily within any distance from both outside and inside. Canelo won't have any answers for Ward's superior skill and ring IQ.

I would favor Andre ward but only because super middle was HIS class. P4p Canelo is the better man
