seriously though....i get that big mak is a solid am, has a southern russian beard, tall and has a lot of koes.

but anyone just think he is absolutly bollocks? anyone with some knowledge has taken him rounds. anyone with some punch has backed him up and anyone with solid defence has kept him at bay.

shave his beard, head and make him born in north ireland. and you get scott belshaw.

 

I thought Allen got a great chin, he can adopt kabayels playbook no?

 

yeah, when he starts humming on the inside he is a modern day bert cooper.

but if he gets stuck on the outside or gets leaned on he becomes a drug addled bert cooper.

Makhmudov is not capable of learning

Watch all his training videos and he goes the same thing over and over and over again - loads up on power shots and single haymakers.

 

Allen seems rejuvenated and serious

I have no faith in Dave Allen getting in shape and winning a fight, he just can’t be arsed to train. He’ll tell everyone he’s been training hard on his YouTube channel, while making excuses for why he’s not trained today. Then a few weeks before the fight he will tell us all he’s in the best shape of his life, he gets on the scales in horrendous shape and plods around the ring in sparring mode. After the fight admits he should have trained harder and the cycle repeats.

 

Unless he gets caught first.

 

It`s possible but Allen isn`t as good as Agit in any way and isn`t as well-conditioned.

 

The plan is going to be the same as Kabayel's, but Allen is nowhere near Kabayel's level. If he couldn't figure out David Price or Tony Yoka, then Mak is going to punch through him. I can see it being a nasty KO. Eddie Hearn has said that if he beats Mak, then a fight with Parker is on the cards. Mak is dangerous, but he's barely top 20, so no idea how they could sell a Parker fight. It's all relative anyway, I can see Allen losing badly to Makhmudov.

 

Champ giving the long shot, a shot always sells, especially if it’s in the UK.

 

Allen is not technically crap, he's much better than Mak.

But, he is hittable, Mak does hit hard.

 

There's really not that much between Allen and Makhmudov in a technical sense to be honest, and Makhmudov probably has the better win than Allen does in a faded Takam.

Everyone's hyping up Allen all of a sudden just because he beat a complete hype job who was never good in the first place that got huge publicity because his father was an internet sensation.

 

Makhmudov is woeful. He is genuinely horrible, all he has is heavy hands. Dave Allen is going to pummel him.

 

thats what im saying! he is not so much slow. he just seems too much of a big lump. also the guard, hand positioning and his played legs is woeful.

 

this is why i say he is the present day bert cooper. he can pull off some great moments and has some tech that is way beyond his value. his combinations and mid/inside work is fantastic for a guy his size...but yeah. if he thinks he is losing i think in his head he just tuts and goes "ergh, it's not your night is it dave"
