Why isn't Turkyi supporting the Parker mando?

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by catchwtboxing, Aug 3, 2025.

Why doesn't Turkyi want Joe?

  1. He is in love with Fury and specifically wants Fury again

    44.9%
  2. He want's any British fighter he can make money off of

    30.6%
  3. He wants Usyk to turn it down because he wants Parker-Ituama for the vacant WBO

    26.5%
  4. Consistent with his "no-runner" policy, since Parker is primarily a great boxer

    4.1%
  5. Mad at Parker since he wasn't "supposed" to beat Wilder

    20.4%
  6. Other (please elaborate)

    10.2%

Agreed, I reckon that's clearly what he wants. I guess this is what happens when one man has ultimate authority over the sport. Parker has earned his chance, in my opinion. I clearly favour 'Oleksandr The Great' but the fight still interests me.

He's done a lot of good for boxing has Turki geezer but my goodness is he a narcissistic bell end with his little arms folded ringside. he must be a nightmare to be around.

He just doesn't like the fight and to be fair bell end or not giving the fact Parker ran around a washed Wilder and an ancient Zhang to win his fights on his alleged ''great run'' I don't blame him really. I still hope Parker gets his shot as he's a mandatory but the fight on paper from a style perspective is quite meh so I do understand why he wouldn't want to put money in it.

Usyk VS Kabayel is the only fight that is compelling on paper at this point.

put that on a tv shirt.
the grand tournament only works if the champion has to fight a mandatory opponent.

Turki has already said he wants to hosthot Itauma into a shot at Usyk provided he destroys Whyte.

If Itauma destroys Whyte and gets a shot ahead of Parker, who has beaten Bakole, Zhang, and Wilder, then that is a disgrace. If Itauma gets a shot ahead of Kabayel, it's a joke as well. It's far too early for Moses; Usyk obliterates him at any point in the next 12/18 months because he does not have the experience, and he is still completely unproven at anywhere close to world level.

For some reason I have a feeling that Whyte is going to make the kid look bad I reckon he will hold, spoil and cause some problems. I know that Whyte is shot but he has never been sparked out in a couple of rounds even before old Povetkin got him Whyte was well ahead. Whyte has too big of an ego to be intimidated.

And that may be the reason why usyk wants to fight , if at all , him and not parker or kabayel .

Usyk beating M.I. then riding off into the sunset ... is A ok by me.

That leaves Joshua Fury Parker etc. an open field ...

All I want is for Uysk to not leave bowing out too late.

Technically, Itauma can no longer beat Mike Tyson´s record, but it would be crazy if he too can win a title at 20, even in today's landscape.

When it cones to title fight, it isn’t what people want to see. It is who earned the tittle fight. Parker has earned it.

I was with you until you brought up Jalolov... Torrez is a very very big stretch already but at least he tries to climb the rankings.
