It is effectively a large difference because aj isn't good enough to pull it off. Parker didn't beat Whyte and Joyce. His wins are Ruiz, Zhang and shot Wilder. Tubbs was champion just like Parker, beat Page, Smith and ran Riddick Bowe close, but if you think Parkers better it doesn't change much. Chisora was old and you also have to take into account the majority thought Chisora got robbed in the first fight.

Bakole has done nothing, couldn't even beat Ajagba. He's much lower than Berbick level off legacy. Aj beats Hrgovic and he'd still be below Tyson by a considerable margin. Tyson just tested positive for weed, he still stopped Golota early, but we don't need that name

    Joshuas resume:
    Old Klitschko
    Old Povetkin
    Whyte
    Parker
    Old Pulev
    Ruiz

    Tysons resume:
    Old Holmes
    Spinks
    Tucker
    Bruno
    Thomas
    Tubbs
    Williams
    Berbick
    Ruddock
    Smith

Fury possibly touches top 20 but really should have achieved more

    AJ around 35-40

    Wilder below him around 45-50

I like your well-reasoned answer. The only thing I will say is that you don't seem to be including their losses in your thought process.

This is how I see it minus Wilder, who I have top 75-100. But bang-on with Fury and Joshua.

Ruiz, Wilder, and Zhang is a better set of wins than just Smith and Page imo. Parker also got better supporting wins in Chisora, Takam and Bakole, compared to Tubbs who only has like Ferguson and Biggs. Parker has also made 2 defenses of the belt he held to Tubbs' zero and so far has no losses as bad as getting knocked out in a round by Lionel Butler and the other Jimmy Ellis.

Hrgovic and Bakole are both decent back half top 10 guys. A win over Hrgovic would atleast be equal to a Ruddock, and better than a Bruno. Bakole would just be a decent extra name.

Old Wlad would arguably be Tyson's best win. In most rankings he's below Holmes but unlike Holmes he was in good shape for his fight and was never properly retired.

Parker I'm maintaining would be a top 3 win for Tyson considering his overall career (would go on to build a better resume than somebody like Tucker) and where he was when the fight happened (undefeated champion)

Povetkin can't be that far behind, even with his age.

Honestly the more I look at the names on Tyson's resume the less impressed I am by them. Once again, overall he still has a better resume than Joshua because of his comparative depth but other than Holmes and Spinks, most of these guys only really managed to pick up 1 or 2 notable wins with some of them racking up several losses while doing so.

Ruiz didn't beat anyone but joshua and wasn't even in the top 10 when joshua beat him. It's not comparable to say a Rahman who also beat Sanders. Wilder was shot.

Bakole doesn't deserve to be in the top 10. He's beaten no one. How is his resume better than a Savarese ? Hrgovic does not have a better resume than Bruno. McCall himself has to be greater than Hrgovic the gulf in resume is vast. Wlad was 41 and retired after meanwhile Holmes whilst out of shape gave Holyfield a highly competitive fight and schooled Mercer as an older man.

Old Holmes = old Wlad, and if you disagree there isn't much separation whatsoever. Tyson knocked Holmes out. Aj went life and death with Klitschko

    Undefeated Spinks > Old Povetkin

Tucker and Tubbs collectively > Parker

    Bruno > Whyte

    Ruddock > old Pulev

    Thomas > Ruiz.

And i haven't even mentioned Smith and Williams. Tyson also became undisputed unlike aj

Do you see the gulf in resume now ?

You rated AJ as the number 1 HW. You rated Wilder as a joke. You are us.

It wasn't the vast majority. You know it wasn't. Plenty thought Wilder would KO joshua and he never fought Wilder or Fury to claim definitive superiority. I will never in my life place aj in the top 20 heavyweights of all time. It's a ridiculous notion

It was everyone. It was me. It was you.

You don't have to put AJ in the top 20, no one is asking you to.
