How can you respect a cherry picker like canelo who has disgraced the sport and belts in the last 4 years. He literally tried to fight jake paul over Benavidez. Now he is forced to fight Crawford as his final cherry pick because he painted himself into a corner by avoiding Benavidez. I hope Crawford beats him and wrecks his legacy. No real boxing fan should be supporting Canelo at this stage of his career.

Canelo is going to win fairly easily. Crawford is a great fighter but he is out of his depth the guy is 38 and moving up to fight the best guy in the division. Sure Canelo has slipped but he is still a quality boxer and will have more power than anybody Crawford has ever faced and it's not like Crawford is some defensive wizard like Mayweather he is going to get hit flush and hard at some point. Crawford is also not a coward like Charlo he will not run and is going to take a battering he might win a few rounds but I do not see this ending well for him.

As to who I will be cheering for I don't really care this is a circus fight that has no bearing on the overall landscape of the sport.

Rooting for Canelo but something is calling out to me in the ether that Crawford will win… I can’t shake it, I also don’t like Crawford really at all but basically I think he’ll hit him in spurts of 1 and 2 stay on the move and not let Nelo get off on the counter… Nelo is stiff and spends too much time behind his turtle shell waiting for an opening,

I want this, I do but I can’t see it personally. Canelo is so stiff, he sits behind his guard and waits for the 3rd punch unless it’s a “gimme” a lot…he spends so much time not doing anything his awareness is his ally he is like Mike Tyson in that when there’s an opening he’s very good at putting a punch there despite his flaws but yeah if people wanted to perpetuate the myth of being “muscle bound” it’d look like Canelo with how he fights.

Rooting for Canelo, but if he thinks he'll be able to push Bud across the ring and coast to a win he's in for a big surprise.

Never really been a Canelo fan over the years but I’m rooting for him pretty hard for the 2nd time in recent memory (previously being vs Berlanga)

Crawford has gotten more arrogant lately, and the hype around him now is ridiculous.

Canelo asking him what his best wins are and Crawford replying Viktor Postal and Ricky Burns was hilarious, and says everything about Crawford’s resume

Canelo likely cruises to a decision victory but would love to see him score his first KO in years

Do me a favor, go rewatch Bud vs. Madrimov. Now super impose over Madrimov the Canelo from the Scull match. Yeah, the constant feinting and herky jerky footwork wont be there, still... Canelo cuts the ring off better than he did, his overall presence is imposing, and while yes, he is musclebound and plodding, he still closes the distance quickly, has incredible speed and thudding power when he connects. Also Canelo's defense is incredibly underrated at this point, sure he's going through the motions and seems bored, because he is. Because this **** has gotten easy for him. It's like clocking in for another day at the job. If Bud is slower than he was for the Madrimov fight, which he will be, he's getting wrecked.

I haven’t kept up with Crawford, I could be WAY wrong here. I don’t know if his defence has gotten better or if he’s just become less combative? - I’d say he seems disinterested in boxing, it has become easy because who’s left to fight? I don’t remember the last hard fight he had? I might’ve missed it, he just plods, sits in his shell and looks for big shots. I’m not the most current guy but this is me sifting through my brain stew here looking for reasons to favour Canelo and I can’t, there is a formula to beat Nelo I’d say Crawford could pull it off not because he’s good but because Nelo isn’t Nelo and his weaknesses have become more exaggerated… ’ll be here for the RBR to rub my fence sitting pick of Crawford like a true, convicted prediction if it comes be LOL. I’ll watch the recent fights before then and you’ll see me quoting bible verses in the RBR and hear about me trying to break my TV when Nelo KO’s Crawford.

Yep I agree with the part about Canelo just clocking in for work I don't think he even cared about the Scull fight I reckon he thought "this coward isn't gonna engage I'm not gonna go chasing him good luck getting a decision pal"
Even against Berlanga and Munguia it seemed like Canelo was happy just to do enough to win and when Munguia gave it his best Canelo cracked him with that uppercut as if to say "watch it pal if you **** around I will take you out"
I think he will be more motivated for Crawford as it would be humiliating for him to lose to a smaller older guy especially on a platform as big as Netflix.

Rooting for neither, just hoping for a good fight. Although I'm leaning towards Bud winning.

Big fan of both. I just want to see a good fight. I expect canelo to win, though, too big for crawford, any other result would be a big surprise to me tbh. Size matters, ofc it matters.

I guess the difference in our thinking here is that I don't think Crawford will have to put on a masterclass to get the job done. Clen has always struggled with boxers and if it weren't for his heavy hands and power which has all but disappeared he would have lost to a bloated BJS and Plant pretty decisively. Does current Clenelo win those fights? I sure as hell don't think so. Both are older and are clearly not at their best but the decline is more noticeable with Clenelo. I think that's a big reason why Crawford has taken this fight because he sees it as winnable, as opposed to purely cashing out like that clown Charlo did.
