Liston by a knockout. I see Sonny`s jab actually grinding Tommy down by the mid rounds and the follow up being almost a forgone conclusion. Sonny Liston wasn't unbeatable as we know but he lost his title to the greatest heavyweight of all time. It was the way he lost that hurts him the most. With that said just about any other heavyweight in history would have lost his title to Clay/Ali at that time.

Who did Liston beat that was even in the same dialling code as Foreman? Liston's two best wins were guys with chins made from papier mache. A stiff breeze could blow over Patterson and Williams.

 

Liston destroys "The Duke" in a similar fashion to his demolitions of Floyd Patterson.

 

Similar to Mercer's fight, Tommy would look good for the first 3 or 4 rounds, then he gets Knocked out.

 

Liston wins this in mismatch fashion
