IMO both Whitaker and Buchanan have arguably the best jab at 135. Who would you say utilized the jab more effectively in your opinion?
It's pretty close. Both had exceptional jabs but one difference is Pernell would jab to the body and lot and come right back upstairs with his left. From the tape I have seen of Buchanan, he more of an outside guy that used his jab to keep range where Sweet Pea would use his to get inside when he wanted to throw combinations but he also would use it at times to keep range.
