Paul Hodkinson was a splendid featherweight from Liverpool who had a somewhat brief career, I think fighting once after he lost his title. Bit of a shooting star but I’d say at his peak he’s a bit underrated among 126-pounders … not a hidden ATG but wouldn’t be an easy out for anyone imo.

You're so right there, Noel. Some of those guys were involved in some of the best fights I've ever seen and most memorable. Andries,Sibson and Graham were more of my time,i loved watching them fight.

Continuing the theme, some lesser lights such as, Evan Armstrong, a dour, tough, little fighter, Les Pickett, another hard scrapper, came from way behind to stop the very smooth Vernon Sollas, add Alan Salter, avoided by some, not Green, who did a number on him, Carl Spear, a box/fighter of some repute, Paddy Maguire, you knew you were in for a fight, Billy Waith, from Wales, a 70s version of Locche, Steve Hopkin, a cousin of Green, with the same style, and lastly Frankie Lucas, my oh my, what a cantankerous, belligerent, tough as nails fighter he was, so many old names, so many nice memories. stay safe guys, chat soon.
