Do you think that would be the end result,if Leonard had fought Monzon over 15 rounds? What about over the 12 rounds distance, would that have made any difference if the fight went the full way? I personally don't see Ray winning either but it's close over 12 ..too much Monzon pressure.
Prime Monzon beats the Hell outta Leonard at middle. Facing a prime Monzon is a whole different story than facing a faded Hagler.
Seconded. Leonard struggled with the Hearns jab. Monzon may not have fast hands like Tommy but he has the height, the reach and the power. No way for Ray past the jab. Monzon comfortable UD with maybe some competitive early rounds.
Same here, I think Sugar could win a few early rounds and look good doing it but he's not keeping a lead for long.
