I've got a new conspiracy theory, l think Usyk is seemingly reluctant to fight Parker because Usyk is a devout, religious, warrior of God, who genuinely believes that God has destined him to win. And Parker is also a devout Christian who believes he has God on his side. So Usyk is hesitant to test his belief in God's faith in him against God's faith in Parker. Evidence to support this being Usyk regularly talking about God, and in some of his older training videos he talks about how he can train so hard is because he knows God is there for him, same with his fights. Also in the Usyk vs Fury build up, the only time I saw Usyk genuinely a bit rattled by Fury was when Fury was going on about God and the Bible. Usyk also kisses his cross for focus and confidence in fights and he knows that Parker is a proper religious man, not just for show like Fury. Tldr: Usyk genuinely believes his success comes from God, Parker believes the same, Usyk doesn't want to test his faith im a fight wifh Parker because his religion is a cornerstone of his life.
Why? I can think of a few reasons off the top of my head. If Usyk vacates: Parker gets elevated to full champion status & becomes a two-time champion As champion he gets a bigger slice off purses & better bargaining power if going into a unification Doesn't have to risk a loss to become champion Parker could also say that Usyk vacated rather than defend against him (although there would be context there, similar to the Lewis/Byrd IBF situation) Parker was a champion going into a big money unification fight with AJ, the situations are different here Parker might well want a shot at undisputed but things are better for him if Usyk vacates & he knows this. If Usyk is showing any hesitation it is only because there may be better business out there for him. For the record, I never said Parker was hesitant. Only that I think he secretly hopes Usyk vacates because things are better for him if it plays out that way.
Nah bruh Usyk wants to rest for a few months to decide his next move, the Saudis don't want to fund the fight, Usyk is getting old, has gotten comfortable with extremely exorbitant paydays and is looking for money fights with the british. That's why Usyk vs Parker isn't happening
You don't seem to be understanding what I'm saying. I haven't said Parker doesn't want to fight Usyk. I said I think he secretly hopes Usyk vacates, because things play out better for him if that scenario occurs.
I mean yeah, that is the most likely reason, no doubt. But isn't the god bothering reasoning a bit more compelling?
Fury pummeled and hurt usyk first rounds on ther first fight , but after he not only kissed but also licked his cross , out of a sudden usyk developed superhuman power and has beaten fury . There are a lot of theories what substance was smeared on his cross .
Parker gets nothing . I expect wbo to agree to an extension and usyk , not defending his wbo belt for 4 years will sit another year or so on it . usyk will not vacate and will NOT be stripped .
