Patterson wins on points but Farr makes it to the final bell and wins some rounds. The end result is never in doubt though.

Agree. Farr was good enough to last the distance but Patterson wins a clear decision.

Farr is way to tough and busy for Floyd to last the distance.

Great fight, but I think Farr catches Floyd and finishes him by the 6th round.

The man took prime Joe Louis on and only barely lost while hurting him early. He went the distance against a absolute peak Louis. That Farr is not getting stopped by Patterson.

Patterson, relatively easy decision with a chance to catch Farr and put him down.

Farr didn't have the power to hurt Floyd. Maybe a flash knockdown because of Floyd's balance issues ... which were a bigger problem than his jaw ... but not to put him away.

While Floyd absolutely had the power to render Farr unconscious.

Farr gets a lot of props because of that one night against Louis with a bad hand, but the man literally never won a fight in the United States. An over the hill Max Baer liked to have killed him even if he was standing at the end.

I think something that needs to be appreciated is Tommy never reached his prime. His whole career he was either a prospect or an AARP guy. Farr never reached his ceiling it was too farr away.

Floyd would work him over from the outside whilst slamming his hooks in.
But Farr was a tough fella, he'd do better than Cooper and the other Brits of the time.
