Yeah I would be shocked if he didn't get cut, he is cut prone. But his corner did a great job in ensuring the cut wasn't an issue. But that was against Adeleye who's punch output was shockingly low and mainly jabs. They may have more than one cut to deal with against the speed, power and accuracy of Itauma.

Yeah I'd be shocked if he slept Hrgovic who probably has the best chin in the division with only Usyk maybe having a better chin. If he's stopped it's on cuts or the ref simply stops it with him still standing and taking too many shots.

Itauma wins by late TKO, the difference in level is obvious and that was confirmed yesterday, you can be experienced who knows how much but Itauma is a more complete fighter...

It's a good fight for both of them. Especially for Itauma. It works for Hrgovic because it would get him a lot of attention and put the spotlight back on him as a leading fighter. It works for Itauma because Hrgovic is legitimate top 10 still, and clearly beatable.

I don't understand why anyone would prefer to see Itauma against a 42 year old Chisora. That would terrible. Truly terrible.

Thin skin perhaps. I know some people have thinner skin than others and this means it has less collagen making it more likely to bruise and cut. It's why much older people bruise and tears more easily as your skin thins and loses it's collagen as you age.

All that was confirmed yesterday was that Whyte is absolutely done (though many of us have know this to be the case for years, as Povetkin knocked the prime out of him, and he's looked pretty awful since).

KO'ing an extremely chinny Whyte isn't a gauge for fighting Hrgovic, who was flaws but is pretty much in his prime and can still improve in his weakest area (stamina).

Hrgovic is huge, durable and has good skills, I think he is too much of a risk this early, even though Moses likely beats him. Just no need to face such a dangerous contender yet.

Yep, Whyte looked awful last time out, looked genuinely shot. I had said in the thread from last year that Warren would be nuts to put a 10-0 Itauma against Whyte but after seeing him in with Tetteh changed my mind and predicted Itauma to KO him.

As limited as Hrgovic is, he is still prime and still capable of operating at a high level unlike Whyte. Whyte had a good career, in many ways overachieved but he is a shadow of the fighter that KO'ed Chisora and beat Parker.

It's a terrible fight for Hrgovic to take. Yes, he has the best chin in the division but he's already taken a ton of punishment as it is both amateur, semi-pro, pro and he will have in the gym too and he's fought and sparred loads of savage punchers and KO artists

In the pros: Big Bang, Dubois, Adeleye and even Big Joe Joyce has heavy hands

In the gym: Wlad, The Dosser, Haye, Dubois to name but a few

Then there's his amateur career and all his fights in the WSB

The 12 rounds of brain abuse alone he took from the way heavier murderous punching Big Bang had me worried for his well being moving forward and then he took a load more bombs in the Dubois fight.

I knew Queensberry would be very keen on sticking him in with Moses as I was watching the Adeleye fight but they do not have Hrgovic's best interests at heart.

Hrgovic has been one of the most mismanaged fighters and wastes of talent in recent memory, or certainly at HW. He hasn't improved at all since the amateurs and he needed a quality right fit trainer who worked on his flaws, worked on his power, worked on his defence, and worked on him making improvements from fight to fight and we've never seen that

I think that billy goat Dubois might have ruined his career too because those cuts are going to keep opening up. That was a terrible cut he suffered tonight and it was from a jab and it didn't even look like it was a really powerful one either

Hrgovic might take Moses rounds and catch him clean but he's going to get caught clean, hard and often himself and his chin is going to crack at some point

I feel sorry for Hrgovic and I have little faith he will ever become a world champion now and if he is to have a chance of doing so they need to be very shrewd with his matchmaking from here on.

He has a great chin and the ability to land with his shots on anyone but there are big flaws, I don't think his heart is truly in the game anymore, and as said he's a waste of talent and has been badly mismanaged and this is not a good fight for him to take

That would be a good ass fight, Itauma is explosive early but Hrgovic impressed me today with his resiliency. 50/50 IMO

The only fight that makes sense next for Itauma is Usyk.

He would smash Hrgovic to smithereens. Hrgovic wouldn’t see the final bell but thanks to his chin he would atleast take Itauma 5-6 rounds.

All valid points but, Hrgovic is becoming increasingly susceptible to facial damage and I could see Hrgovic looking like Vit Klit did against Lewis by the mid way point. Granted, Hrgovic is as tough as a coffin nail but, he isn't a one punch KO artist and is relatively easy to hit.

It is the fight to make as Hrgovic is quite possibly the most durable HW out there, unfortunately he's somewhat battleworn.

Hrgovic is a lot more technical than Whyte is, and has a very good one-two plus he has a wall of a chin. He can defo actually give Itauma rounds and present him with a challenge considering he actually can jab well.

However, Itauma would re-open Hrgovic's cuts all over again like a hot knife through butter and pummel him as a result.

I back Croatian for a TKO here.
This guy eats shots from 'prime old' Zhang and Dubious.
Who has 'Moses' eaten shots by?
Flashy flash isn't enough after a while, just ask Haye.
