What are some strange, unusual moments in boxing that you never forget?

The Chris Eubank V Dan Sherry fight stick s out for me.
Eubank was really struggling at times and Sherry seemed to be goading him through out.
In the tenth round, Sherry said something to Chris, he ended up behind him.
The next thing, Eubank brought his head back and cracked him into the face.

Sherry collapsed on the floor and I've got to say he looked like he was really hamming it up lol.
Eubank still won , not dq.
To much money involved in Eubank at the time I suppose.

Whatever Holmes said that one time. "I am Rocky Marciano's jock strap!"

    Also, the Berbick dropkick.

The fan man one is hard to beat.
I’ve read a few times about Duran knocking out Roger Leonard immediately after the Montreal fault , is that actually true or is it embellishment ? I’ve never seen any sign of it on film.
A personal ish one, my grandfather boxed in the navy, he has, or had some pretty cool stories. One was that he once hit an opponent, and their eyeball popped out! It was hanging from the thread, nerve or whatever it is that attaches it.
I’ve never heard of or seen that happening but I’m sure it has.

During the Virgil Hill - Adolpho Washington light heavyweight title bout, an overzealous camerman reached in between rounds to get a better look at a cut over Washington's eye. So close in fact, that he rammed the camera into it splitting it open causing the fight to be stopped and had to go to the scorecards.

The John Meekins - Mohammad Kawoya 10-rounder looked to be stopped in the 3rd round when Meekins was all over him. The referee jumped in to stop the fight, but not before Kawoya got one last shot in that dropped Meekins. The ref didn't even see it because he was facing Kawoya. By the time he turned around he must've been saying to himself, "What's Meekins doing on the ground? Must've dropped something"

Donal Curry fighting Tony Montgomery. By the 5th round Montgomery and everyone in the arena knew that Montgomery's time was numbered. He was starting to take a thumping and the end was inevitable. But Tony had a novel way out. he purposely butted Curry so blatantly he received an immediate point deduction. When told to box on, he did it again, incurring another deduction. Well, come on, everyone in the arena knew what he was doing and the next second, he did it again getting DQ'd. A nasty way of saving yourself from a KO. However, Curry wasn't happy with what Montgomery did to his face with those butts and walked over as if to shake hands and let him have it with a right hand. I felt a very deserving right hand.

    Duran quitting.
Don King singing the national anthems before the first Rosario-Ramirez bout I was there in person
    Bowe-Tillery
The referee almost falling out of the ring in the Josue Camacho-Michael Carbajal fight I was there in person too.
    The Bite fight,
    The riot at MSG,
    Minter-Hagler aftermath,
Bazooka Limon pulling down Sharmba Mitchell's pants,
Wilfredo Gomez pulling Eddie Ndukwu up after Ndukwu had fallen on the ropes-because he wanted to hit him immediately again-
Aaron Pryor praying after he got dropped by Bobby Joe Young -he later became a pastor so maybe he did experience a consersion in the ring...
    The fan man fight...
The guy who left the ring after the first bell sounded, to protest his earnings,

    Even more vintage:
Bob Pastor;s pants falling during a fight...
Another Bob Pastor fight when his opponent, Art Sykes, suffered a nervous breakdown and left the ring
A fight when one of the guys got up from a knockdown and asked the referee to go to the roof and take a lap with him-the fight was promptly stopped
Jack Dempsey hitting Jack Sharkey when SHarkey was complaining about a low blow and knocking him out.
Dempsey pulled into the ring after he hit himself with a typewriter in the FIrpo fight..
The Ad Wolgast-Mexican Joe Rivers double knockdown and the referee helping Wolgast up while counting Rivers out...

    The weather

Jimmy Carruthers v Chamren Songkitrat (spelling)

Known as the Battle of the Typhoon. The bout was held in Thailand during a rough weather season and the rains came down. The fighters opted to remove their footwear due to sliding all over the canvas. This helped until the overhead lamps began to explode and, even though they swept out the canvas, one of the combatants still had to have broken glass removed from his foot.

    Albert Davila v Enrique Sanchez

I think this was called the battle of the Monsoon or something to that effect. In the 7th round of their outdoor title fight, a veritable hurricane came in on the Miami coast and whipped sideways rain all over the ring. Davila deftly turned his opponent into the rain, got back in the fight and stopped Sanchez in 11. He later called the rains Holy Water because it helped revive him.

As far as Carruthers, it was Carruthers who had his feet cut and he still managed to win!

Sanchez was outpointing Davila until that point, Davila said he felt the rain was Kiko Bejines inspiring him to win.

Its official: I am the queen of Miss-spelleng ..lol (see what I did there?)

Antonio, have you ever seen the Davila-Sanchez fight in its entirety? I would love to hear your score. I had seen the highlights for many years but a year or so ago I sat down and watched it and actually had it where Davila pulled himself even on my card going into the 11th. Let me tell you, it was a damn good fight, which I highly recommend.

Tyson Fury feigning to lick the blood off Wilder’s neck - unless he did score come.

Very strange but not so much for Fury himself.

    Hi Guys.
A rather poignant moment, not long after getting badly beaten up by Lewis, and whilst being interviewed, the animalistic Mike Tyson gently wiped some grease/fluff from the face of Lewis.
    stay safe guys.
    Mike.
