The great thing about back and neck 'injuries' are anyone can claim one and there is no doctor who can tell you otherwise that that person is not hurt or injured in some way. Its why there is so much fraud from car accidents. Nobody can prove Usyk isn't really injured.

So wanting to see someone fight more often is discrediting them ?

And Usyk hasn't been fighting twice a year he's been fighting once a year on average for the past 6 years.

Again not all Usyk's fault i blame Fury for it also for giving Usyk the run around in 2023 but it's also kind of frustrating for the fans we don't get to see Usyk fight more often.

And... he ended up fighting Fury twice in 2024 instead. I know people like to blame Fury for Usyk's inactivity, but the speed of Fury's rematch actually forced Usyk to be more active than he typically ever was these last 5 to 7 years. His record is his record.

    2019: 1 fight
    2020: 1 fight
    Usyk as HW champion is:
    2021: 1 fight (Joshua)
    2022: 1 fight
    2023: 1 fight
    2024: 2 fights
    2025: 1 fight (requests 90 day extension)

As suppose we can consider ourselves lucky that the Cruiserweight tournament had him fighting twice a year.

I've already said it's not all Usyk's fault.

But the fact is Usyk has been averaging 1 fight a year for the past 6 years and even for the modern era that's not very active.

Take Inoue for example he's been averaging 2 championship fights a year for the past 6 years.

It's not a criticism its more frustration that we don't see more Usyk fights.

Serge as I said to the other posters it's not a criticism its more frustration than anything because us fans are a bit a selfish let's be real and we want to see best fights and we want to see them a quickly as possible.

I don't blame Usyk for all of the inactivity as I've already said he was in a contract for a few of the rematches and Fury gave him the run around for quite a long time aswell.

But as Usyk's not getting any younger I don't like all the inactivity all the time so I'd rather Usyk try and get the big fights as quick as possible before he gets too old and tarnishes his legacy or just simply retire on top with his health intact.

Yeah I know and like I said it frustrates me too. But there are valid reasons why he wasn't as active and why fights were delayed and postponed if people look into them. Ones I didn't even mention outside of Covid, the war in his homeland, injury, and Greedy Belly screwing him around.

As I keep saying, I think he should just retire he's clocked the game amateur and pro, is an ATG, a very wealthy man now, there's nothing left for him to achieve, and he turns 39 come January, which is obviously very old for a boxer, and he's been very vocal about how much he hates spending so much time away from his family and missing his children growing up.

He might have looked good vs Dubois last time out but he's been past his prime for years and all these giants he's been fighting up at HW sans Chisora and Witherspoon are not only much bigger than him but they're younger or much younger than him too and so are all the top challengers to his throne. It's a no brainer for me

it's a phenomenal how he's not even slowed down at his age. He actually even looked improved in the Dubois fight, like he's adapting to the heavyweight division more with every fight, A very special fighter and athlete, a one off.

He’s definitely slowed down perhaps intentionally, but he’s noticeably economical in his movement now.

Not all injuries are visible though. Give Usyk a break.

Nothing is stopping them from fighting more often and not rematching. There's no law saying they have to fight so infrequently.

    1. Usyk shouldn't waste time on Parker anyway given his limited lifespan. Parker is boring and useless people are on crack for caring for this fight. Usyk as good as he is right now is a candle that is burning HOT and he will burn out abruptly at some point. He has 2 good fights left in him and the chances of him getting injured in camp is higher than ever.

    2. PED cycle

That's all you need to know.

Usyk could get a legit injury in his next camp and that could be curtains for him. Which is a shame because he's performing extradionary well for his age (Well looked after & PEDs). Spend most of his cruiser career shaking out that bad right shoulder and doesn't even seem to bother him anymore which is impressive, Meanwhile Fury is a write off with his elbows.

As you said, there are three current undisputed men's champs, and the other two, Inoue and Canelo fight at least twice a year. Usyk is the odd one out.

The other guys you mentioned don't hold all the belts so don't need to defend them as often.

Are the injuries visible to the inside world?

And like I mentioned, those two guys have built in racial fanbases that contribute to making fights easier for them.

And it's quite disingenuous to ignore the points particular to Usyk which contribute to him only fighting once a year. Including, but not limited to, acclimating to a new weight class with the biggest weight jump in the sport, his country literally being invaded, and dealing with one of the most recalcitrant and shameful champions in the history of the sport.

They also don't fight grown ass men. Canelo has never given up 20 pounds in a fight, much less 50.
