The only thing Canelo has over Bud is size. Skills pay the bills. Crawford skills will be the difference same way Floyd’s, Bivol and Lara were and Bud hits with bad intentions.

Canelo hits harder and has better head movement.

Totally agree. Logically, I can't be too confident in someone jumping up 14lbs (or really 21 lbs from welterweight to super middle) without seeing some major struggles against good competition at the bigger weight class. And Canelo isn't just "good competition"......He's one of, if not the best in the division. It's far from realistic for anyone to believe Crawford has a major advantage in the fight....

Crawford is highly skilled, can't deny that, but with those skills, you still have to deal with getting hit by a bigger puncher than anyone you've ever faced......and that guy is skilled himself.

I'm ready to see how it all plays out. If Crawford does pull some magical night and looks spectacular, it will be one of the more amazing things I've seen in the sport ever

Canelo can be caught. Crawford is a spiteful puncher but hitting harder does not matter if you cannot hit the target clean and Bud is difficult to hit clean when he is mindful of his defence.

You said the only thing Canelo has is size and clearly you were wrong and are now conceding he does not hit as hard.
All fighters can be caught anyone who understands boxing knows this. The difference is Canelo has been caught by a monster like GGG and still didn't go down, Crawford was rocked by the much smaller Gamboa.

Any opinions on who will be stronger in the ring on the night? Canelo is a stocky guy who owns 168, but Crawford is apparently very strong for size and walks around at 180.

Just thinking that Crawford has easily been the strongest person in the ring in all his fights, even against physical and supposedly strong fighters like Spence and Porter.

Its an understated part of his game that gives him just that bit more of an advantage. If Canelo is stronger than Crawford on the night, I think Crawford will find some his potential for the fight removed.

Key difference is lil G as he is popularly known has no disguise on his punches hence Canelo can see them coming. In fact Canelo has superior skills to lil G. It’s the punches you don’t see that can really **** people up. Lil g hits harder than Floyd but Floyd outclassed Canelo. It’s not Crawford’s job to give Canelo a target to hit.

It's going to be Canelo vs Mell all over again. Crawford will feel the power and won’t throw the entire fight.

    No.

Not saying Canelo wont win but its not comparable to the Mikey fight.

Forms, size, and styles... all of those favored Spence against Mikey a lot more than they will favor Canelo against Crawford.

GGG is the furthest thing from a weight bully and he would’ve beaten Ward if they ever fought.

    Yo
You make good points here. The best I can see Crawford do here is a Scull like performance. If he wins a Bivol type performance I’d be shocked

We cannot underestimate Crawford’s skills, IQ and viciousness.

People are underestimating how much of a BUM canelo is.

But Crawford is overhyped also so eh.

Most interesting thing will be how Crawford holds the extra weight. If he could have drained Canelo down even a little to a CW he'd have stood a better shot

Really it's an easy final payday for Crawford where he will give it his best probably have fun doing it and has a legit excuse to lose. Canelo doesn't really have an excuse to lose and he will be ripped to shreds should he lose.

Main thing for Canelo is he has to hit the ground running, can't just cruise and drop early rounds

If he pulls off a bivol like performance, then he is the best fighter since pac and floyd. But everything I see tells me he’s getting overwhelmed. Because canelo is still a formidable super middleweight.
