If Itauma is ready for Hrgovic, he's ready for Parker

Of course he is. He would beat both of those easily.

When he was rusty and unfit in #1.

When he was fat and unfit in #3.

The one time he turned up properly, he had zero problems.

The fact he could win 2/3 when so badly out of shape says a lot about how good Wilder wasn't... It'd be like fat Ruiz winning the Joshua rematch.

True. Also the eye test says a lot about wilder. Basically he had a great precise, deadly and sneaky right hand that he had to prepare a bit with the lead hand and positioning but that also had a little bit of flexibility when looking at the szpilka and ortiz (2) kos. Also he showed that he had the will and heart of a champion.

The rest is lacking. Still, at the time he was a danger for anyone and certainly for joshua.

So far, only Usyk stands out in the division and is better than the rest, of the others in the Top 10 almost anyone can beat anyone, regardless of the fact that some are a little better than others...

The eye test is tricky with guys like Wilder....

Judging him on a champions level eye test when he wasn't fighting the kind of opponents a champion should can be deceptive - it accentuates strengths and hides weaknesses.

I find it hard to credit the will of a champion to someone who hid from challenges for so long.

Possibly... He's one of those that would have a punchers chance, so long as he had time and space to prepare.

Joshua could certainly be hurt, but Wilder would've had only a slim chance of doing it.

True that, and I know it's a tradition to crap on the current generation of heavyweights going back to at least the Joe Louis days, but the fact that we have an obvious king and then everyone else is competitive is actually good for the division and shows a high level of competition.

Before the Joyce fight he was considered to have an Iron chin

I've said it before and I'll say it again, it took heavy handed Joyce landing 300 punches, over 200 power punches on Parker off of his sickbed to put him down. More than twice as much as Joyce needed for Dubois.

He definitely had a decent chin, not sure how it is these days though. He has taken a bit of punishment and been in with the hardest hitters of the division.

Valid point, but Parker turned pro 5 years earlier.

Hrgovic was pretty much robbed of a gold medal, he was the best heavyweight during Yoka's sham of a gold.

Regardless, Parker has a much more extensive career of achievement.

He was indeed managed quite carefully. But once in the fight he fought his heart out against Ortiz and Fury. But that's gone now and it's better this way and I hope he retires.

With Joshua it depends which Joshua shows up and how he approaches the fight. Joshua had a really good offense but he was also very stiff at that time. So not super easy to judge for me, both were good offensively, whoever hits the target first wins. It's not like Wilder was totally useless on defense, he held up against Ortiz so he probably would not have been overrun by Joshua in one round, he took seven rounds to beat brezeale... But again it depends on the approach and I wouldn't know how to judge it in terms of percentages precisely.

    And what's proven is real.

    Speculation is hype.

The credit isn't earned until it's proved - guys who have done more deserve more respect than guys who have done less.

Seems simple enough, but it very often doesn't work that way around here...

Hrgovic LOST against Zhang. He didn't know where he was for moments. He stopped throwing punches many times. Another referee might have stopped the fight. It was a robbery...
Parker did better against zhang, but still could have been judged differently. He had so little activity in many rounds. Wonder how some of them went to parker.
