Bored with people saying stuff like it was a hard fight for Usyk. It wasn't remotely hard. As you said, he was in first gear and that's probably the best way to describe it. I don't normally believe what boxers say but I do believe Usyk when he says he didn't want to look too good (or he said something along those lines) so as not to scare off the likes of Joshua. I remember Usyk had Chisora hurt and retreating back to the ropes as Chisora does when he's hit... and Usyk did **** all. Just let him recover.
Matchroom didn't want to put Joshua anywhere near Usyk. I remember when he was mandatory and Hearn complaining about it and threatening to vacate because the system was against AJ. The press conferences in the build up was like he was reading AJs obituary.
It happens all the time though... the underdog performs better than what was expected and they somehow get people overstating how a fight went...
This content is protected For someone with a reputation as a good talker, Sam Jones seems to get verbally drubbed by anyone with more than a few braincells on a regular basis. Already commenting "if it doesn't work out it doesn't work out" five minutes after becoming Dubois' manager is not a good sign.
He’s not even a good talker. He can’t say 4 or 5 words without stuttering. The only advantage he has as a ‘manager’ that a fighter may find useful is he’s probably the only person willing to jump on an interview with Kugan/Parsons at any hour during the day as he loves being on camera.
Joshua was given an awful lot of credit for facing Usyk with many saying "he didn't have to face him". What hearn wanted was another Molina, Breazeale, Pulev type and then pass it off saying "well he was the mandatory" That's true. Isn't he a Mr MTK MGM Goldstar Kinny mouth piece?
Two of the three judges who scored it 115–113 clearly disagreed with you — much like the judges disagreed with your take on the weekend’s RBR. One thing’s for sure: Chisora gave Usyk a solid test at heavyweight, and he performed about as well as Goodman did against Ball on Saturday. Might be time for a trip to Specsavers, mate.
Such a poor argument. We know how incompetent and corrupt judging is in boxing, so to cite judges scoring is entirely pointless when evaluating performance. Should other members like ash234 who just mentioned he'd give Chisora 3 tops go to specsavers also? Gareth Davies, an awesome boxing man, had it a draw with Ball. The punch stats for the match are close, with Ball scoring 20 more punches over the twelve rounds having threw about 200 more punches in total. Many of his shots were blocked or missing, so any objective viewer would have to question the validity of those stats. Not got the time right now to trawl through your post history, on this account or your old account with nearly 10,000 posts, but I'm sure there will be a few posts in this, with plenty of your beloved em dashes — — — .... disagreeing with judging over the years. So at least be consistent.
Chisora started well but those judges were clearly trying to rob Uysk but just couldn't as after the 4th round Del won absolutely 0 rounds I've watched it a few times as its a decent scrap but Del was nowhere close to winning
Fair enough, judging can be incompetent — no arguments there. But you can’t dismiss all official cards when it suits and then cite punch stats or pundits like Davies when they line up with your view. That’s cherry-picking. And this “old account with 10,000 posts” — who exactly are you talking about? You’ve clearly got me confused with someone else. Point me in the right direction and I’ll happily do the due diligence and trawl through it myself, simply so I can thank them for all the hard work you’re crediting me with.
citing davies and other boxing men just shows there's nothing specsavers worthy about it. The fact you think Chisora gave Usyk a hard fight indicates you'd maybe be better of going there also We both know what the account is called and i've already found a couple of posts that you've posted addressing dodgy judging.
He is. Used to be all over Twitter defending Kinahan, to the point where he was literally harassing a female journalist who did an article on his criminality.
Bro, I’ve been hitting Specsavers for a couple of years now — case in point, today I’ve misplaced my door keys and I’m stuck inside, about to call a locksmith for the third time in six months unless a relative digs out the spare. So yeah, the eyesight jokes land. Let’s just forget the rest. This mystery “old account” you keep bringing up — you say we both know, but I can assure you I don’t. If you’ve “already found” posts that are supposedly mine, then share them. Otherwise, you’re just shadowboxing with your imagination. DM me the name — I’m genuinely curious. Due diligence and forensic analysis used to be part of my profession before I saw sense and quit the grind.
Yup Much like Goodman at the weekend — hard to give him anything beyond halfway, but he still made it competitive, just like Chisora when he gave Usyk his first proper test at heavyweight.
