Parker Kabayel would be a great 50-50 fight but sadly I don't see it happening for a vacant wbo belt. Since the stupid belts have their own rankings and fighters can only optimize for one of them usually by fighting ranked fighters of that belt - kabayel is not in the wbo rankings (at least not top 10).

So the wbo won't give kabayel the chance to fight for their vacant belt. So no parker - kabayel.

    Hate the belts...

    Wbo:
    Itauma
    Hrgovic
    Zhang
    Okolie
    Dubois
    Anderson
    Joshua
    Chisora
    Adeleye
    Hysa

    Pick your favorite...

I'm thinking its Itauma's if they want it, but not sure if they do at this stage with talks of Turki wanting Usyk vs Itauma, and Usyk dropping the WBO, that fight is looking more likely and attractive.

Outside of that, I think Hrgovic would take the opportunity, he hasn't had a title shot yet and is stringing together some decent wins. But he might need more time to heal his cut.

Most likely I think is Okolie, he is ready to go, has already put his hand up for the Parker fight when Dubois dropped out, he has some name value in the UK and he is relatively low risk to Parker as a first defence.

Wild card is Joshua, Joshua hasn't been very active, but a title up for grabs against an opponent he has beaten before might be just what he is looking for. And Parker would like that fight since he wants revenge and it will bring a lot of cash.

The other names are either not really placed for a fight at this level and don't bring much money or enough clout.

As a Parker fan I want to believe that he just around the corner from getting a title, but I don't trust a lot of the media in boxing and will just wait and see.

I really do think Usyk must be feeling his age and is assessing how much he has left in the tank. I don't think he wants to split his titles, but he isn't going to risk fighting Parker if he is not 100% just to keep the WBO.

Hopefully this whole thing can be sorted in the next couple of weeks and Parker gets a fight signed before the end of the year and we can get some clarity on the future of the division. Because a few guys are now waiting to see what Usyk will do. If he decides on a lolly scramble we may see a bunch of fights being made and new champions incoming, where as if he holds on people will keep making more strategic moves and waiting to put themselves into spots for the eventual dropping of the belts.

    Seems likely.
I'd rather see him go into the ring without the belt and try to win it whether that's against Usyk or someone else personally. It wouldn't surprise me if Parker felt the same way tbh

Feel like that the WBO would literally give Fury or AJ the benefit of the doubt and the extension that Uysk requested for.

All signs pointing to Itauma V Parker. In an ideal world though, Parker would fight Kabayel for the vacant if it becomes so, but Kabayel is already the WBC interim so the WBO won't recognise Kabayel unlike Itauma.

Parker is really suited to Itauma and fish eyes would be crazy to turn that fight down.

Parker has work rate as his only standout real strength, but he is going to get really badly outworked by Itauma. Itauma will drown Parker in deep waters.

Getting a major belt this early will be great for Itauma's career.

It's all part of the plan.

He'll let Parker and Itauma fight for the belt, get his rest in the meantime and fight the winner to call himself 4 time undisputed champ haha.

Even Del boy recently turned down a third fight with Parker despite losing two previous fights and said it out loud to Parker nobody wants to fight him because he brings no money

Now if Del is saying that, I'd assume the World HW champion sees things the same way

Parker's only KO loss was against Joyce who had to grind it out over 11 rounds. He's also taken on the rest of heaviest hitters in the division and taken all of them to decision.

With that in mind, in what world does Itauma KO him in 2 rounds?

On this forum, on all media in general, boxing fans agree that Itauma already KO-ed both Usyk and AJ, 1vs2 and is already undisputed lineal champ

Parker is already a 3.5/1 underdog against Itauma. I'm gonna throw a few bucks that way if that fight gets made

Parker has had 39 pro fights and only been stopped once. That stoppage occurred in the 11th round.

There's nothing at this stage to suggest Itauma would beat Parker, let alone stop him in 2 rounds. This premature ejaculation over Itauma beating Whyte is getting hysterical.

I've been here less than a month, kemosabe. Though that sounds about par for the course from what I've seen from the absolute boxing experts on this forum so far.

Let me guess, they also thought that Hrgovic was the boogeyman, that Bakole was the boogeyman and going to clean out the division, that Joyce had an uncrackable chin and was destined for greatness, and that Usyk was too small to ever compete.

That seems crazy! But I think Parker is happier being the underdog.

Crazy how the 20 year old with 13 fights who's never been in the ring with anyone in the top 20 can come in the favourite and have more pressure to win than the guy with one of the best resumes in the division and is in their prime.
