Nah, argubly once - Castillo I. But if we're going that way, you can say Ali was argubly beaten by Young, Shavers and in Norton III.

All fine and dandy, but it was Pacquiao who pulled out of the fight in 2010.

Ali was calling himself the GOAT even before he beat Liston. Floyd can think and say whatever the hell he wants. I don't agree with him, but he earned that right.

It's also valid to point out Vitali lost a lot of what could have been his best years to injuries and people do within context (even though not as much as they do for Ali of course). I think arguing this stuff is fine as long as it's consistent.

Considering Ali declined due to getting punched too much in the head, his career might not have played out the way you'd like ot to have played out if he were fighting during that time. And Frazier might not have ended up being a top 10 heavyweight.

Vitali, after he came back, was fighting second and third tier heavyweights and no hopers. It's not a good comparison.

He literally jumped straight into a title fight with a top heavyweight, while Ali took tune ups despite being almost a decade younger than Vitali.

Quarry and Bonavena were top contenders at the time when Ali took them on. Just like Peter was.

Peter was a champion, not a contender.

He was a paper title holder and not the best in the divison. He was a contender in my eyes. The throne was empty at this stage.

Nobody care about your eyes. Peter was a champion. Ali took two tune ups for Frazier and lost.

When Quarry fought Ali in Atlanta after his three year and seven month banishment he was the #1 ranked heavyweight contender by Ring Magazine and #3 rated heavyweight contender by the World Boxing Association. Oscar Bonavena who Ali fought in his second fight after the banishment was rated #1 by the World Boxing Association. Outside of the champ who was he supposed to fight? The reason he was on such an abbreviated schedule is because he was afraid he would exhaust all his appeals and go to ---- ing prison. The Supreme Court handed down their decision on June 28, 1971, months after the Quarry, Bonavena, and Frazier fights took place.

He was a paper title holder, yes, cause he fought in the 4 belt era. Quarry and Bonavena didn't. There was only 1 champion at the time. Peter was a contender for the crown and was already beaten by the unified title holder who was a number 1 HW on the planet. Peter was a Quarry level contender at the time.

FMJ fans are a special breed lol.

This card stacking, risk averse punk compared to Ali is laughable. His much vaunted “0” in years to come (actually the times probably already arrived) will be seen as the cynical PR marketing exercise it was.

Usyk has been the first true P4P all time great this sports seen in a long, long time. Floyd made money but really who gives a toss about him anymore? He left no lasting legacy.
