Don’t presume to know my feelings NoDick. I have zero interest or care about your boy like most boxing fans now days.

He was dull and boring and his fans even more so. Boxing improved 1000% the moment him and his charade ****ed right off and real fighters like Usyk stepped up.

You’d think there would be more five division champs with 50-0 records if all it required was a little bit of cherry picking.

Frazier was actually younger than that. In 1971 during the FOTC, he was 27.

Correct, but Noneck is trying to say Frazier was washed up when he lost to Ali. He was 29 and coming off a win over Bugner. He also tried to say Foreman wasn't in his prime. Foreman was 25 and had wins over Frazier and Norton when he fought Ali. An Olympic Gold Medalist.

1.Frazier’s prime was over after getting taken out by Foreman if not before that.

    2. I said nothing about Foreman’s prime. I alluded to him being less “elite” than a bunch of guys who Mayweather beat, most notably the ones who are top 100 ATGs whereas Foreman isn’t on that list.

The Canelo win, if we are arguing that’s Floyd’s best win, is not in the same stratosphere as the Foreman win.

Ali - Frazier 2 , Frazier had just turned 30, he was very close to his prime, if slightly past it, Ali was past his as well.

Those 2 wins alone are enough to be ahead of Floyd.
People forget that Frazier only ever really lost to Ali and Foreman, and seem to think he was just some small guy who stylistically had Ali’s number, and would lose to any big puncher like Foreman.
    Not true at all.

Throw in the Liston wins, Manila, Norton wins, though debatable (see Floyd), you can’t compare Mayweather with Ali.

Frazier wasn't past it because of one loss. Foreman wasn't less elite. He was an Olympic gold medalist and beat a prime Frazier and Norton going into the Ali fight. He was the boogeyman at HW. Again, I'm not even an Ali fan but he fought his best wins against prime opponents in one of the toughest HW eras.

Floyd’s conditioning was exceptional, it’s a shame we have to talk about him as a mathlete as much as an athlete.
All of his stay relevant nonsense smack talking just detracts from his skill as a boxer.
Ali proved he was the greatest heavyweight.
Floyd never proved he was the greatest anything, He’s not beating the best at any weight division.
In no way is he greater than Ali

Why would he even have lost to Ali if he hadn’t slipped since FOTC? It wasn’t like Ali noticeably improved.

A drained pre roid Canelo was an average fighter. Juiced to the gills he can do nothing with GGG, schooled by Bivol. Canelo is nowhere near Foreman or Frazier.

    Hatton was Hatton, he’s ok.
    Cotto
    Old Mosley
Old De la Hoya, Maywesthers own family still thought he lost that one.
Beaten by Castillo, imagine what Duran or Armstrong does with him.
    Pacquiao was old and injured.

There are caveats for nearly all of Floyd’s biggest fights. He’s not the best in any weight class, Ali was, he’s nowhere near the top ten of all time, Ali is, he has no real legacy, Ali has the biggest.

yes sure Floyd is greater than Ali…

Foreman is not top 100 ATG? Is that what you’re saying here ? Less elite? Did Foreman steal your cheeseburger or something?

Die hard Mayweather fans are some of the least objective fans in the sport.
I used to think Mayweather was not all that, but grew to appreciate him as I learned more about boxing. He was superb at his best.
But to argue he’s greater than Ali is crazy and feels like arguing for arguments sake.

What is P4P? Fact the matter is the all the guys Floyd beat are better then all the fighters Ali beat skill wise because as you know lighter fighters tend to be more skilled then heavier ones. He also didn't have Ali's size advantage being undersized against most of his opponents while Ali had a size advantage against most of his foes. He also didn't get hit as much against much better foes as Ali did. End of the day removing myth and media sensationalism Floyd is the better fighter. You can make the argument that Ali was "greater" based on your criteria but if they were the same size Floyd would make Ali look silly.
