Love Usyk, but if he doesn't fight Parker, he should be stripped of that belt.

If the WBO don't grant Usyk an exemption it will be a disgrace

The WBO, who Big Frank has long had a good relationship with, have Moses ranked #1 off the back of beating D and E levels and the ancient shell of Wach and a shot Whyte. In fact, they had him ranked #1 before he fought Whyte

They also had Yarde ranked #1 twice I believe albeit I could be wrong even though his resume is horrific and by far his best win is a Brit/Euro level Lyndon Arthur

I think the WBO will go to purse bids

It will be up to Usyk then

"WBO President on Usyk–Parker: “Rules Must Be Followed”...
Put simply, I am required to follow the rules regardless of who the boxer, promoter, manager, advisor, or intermediary is,” said Oliveri."

I still don't understand why Usyk's team can't just organise a fight for next year after he recovers if he is intending to fight Parker? I'm sure Parker will be accommodating, he has been pretty patient so far.

It makes it seem like Usyk's team is requesting the extension in bad faith if they don't have the intention of fighting with Parker.

Un-f-ing-believable! Youtube is such a sh**show. You guys as english natives probably don't know, but they now implemented automatic ai-translated audio. And it seems I have no option to correct this to original audio without signing up. The stupid voice is unbearable!

Also pretty interesting perspective. I don't usually have the mind to follow the belts with that depth to recognite these things on that level. The way you put it it looks like a scheme to get Itauma a belt. On top he might have to avoid usyk for a while if he wins it because it is too early for him to go for that fight.

On the other hand I don't think Usyk needs to keep all the belts, it won't change anything for his recognition. Everyone wants him to fight Parker, Kabayel or Itauma. As long as he doesn't fight wilder or something, not many will complain.

If anything at all it should devalue the belts that are not held by usyk. But on the other hand we as fans should hope not to see soft touches or long spans of inactivity if avoidable. The division should keep moving because mandatories are waiting and trying not to take risks before their shots and it holds up the division to a point where I am starting to dislike the situation of undisputed champions.

If becoming undisputed is such a big deal to everyone the best thing would be if after winning it you get a fat trophy and a big celebration as the best and then instantly lose all belts and become mandatory challenger for all the belts.

That would keep things going. Either retire or have a great spot to make the best fights, earn money and go for second time undisputed by not just Picking up one belt the took off you but all of them.

And the other mandatories would have good fights for the belts you don't choose to compete for first.

I think that might be my wish for boxing in the future. And give each promoter playing part in the undisputed match like 20 million as an incentive to make the match.

    Parker lost to Whyte.
    Itauma destroyed Whyte.
    Thus, Itauma destroys Parker.
So, you want Parker to be destroyed so soon?

So, according to you, if Usyk thinks he can't compete on highest level, he will avoid fighting Parker, drop the WBO belt, and keep other belts, and he will challenge Fury, AJ, Itauma etc. Basically you're saying Parker is better than Fury, AJ, Itauma.

People were claiming "Dubois is young and strong, Usyk is old and shot, Dubois will destroy Usyk in the rematch", but we all saw who got destroyed so easily.

I think he he believes he’s done at the highest level - and this is just my opinion or maybe I’m projecting what I’d rather see him do - is vacate all and walk away

Screw the WBO. Still hangers on. If most undisputed champions dropped their belt no one would give a ****. The other 3 whether you like it or not are rock solid established. 4 belt era my ass. No true all time great has held or needed their belt to be undisputed.

The fact that usyk indeed avoids parker is so obvious as barely seen in boxing and does not need further discussion . Why he avoids him only usyk knows but finally its not even important .

When usyk wants to be WBO champion he has to defend his belt against the ranked contender , as any other boxer too . He has not defended it for 4 years and its already now weird , let alone asking for an extension to just negotiate and confirm an opponent .

His request for an extension shows he is not willing to vacate this belt , he will do it only when he is about to be stripped .
