    Hello Mike
Fantastic post as always. I really enjoyed reading all of it and I cant argue with any of it. It's thought provoking and comes at the subject matter from an unusual angle. Ive always felt Bruno was protected in the 80's and I'd argue he was a better fight in 87-89 than he was in the 90s when he had greater success. But it never occurred to me....as you suggest in fact this was a man who didn't really like fighting....it was a means to an end. That would explain the lack of survival instincts when hurt in the 80's and the colouring book analogy a man programmed certainly explains that template he followed of jab jab right hand and the silly unneccesary rabbit punching in the clinches....when he should've been resting in the clinches. Witherspoon would've been happy to clinches. He was a man who'd gone the distance many times. Frank almost lost that fight so dramatically in the 11th because he decided to carry on pushing things in the clinches even though he was the one on need of a rest. Other heavyweights of the time made silent contracts to take a breather before the referee shouted break.

    Hi Jarmal.
Appreciate your very kind words, my posts are about my encounters with boxers, my journey with our beloved sport, my thoughts on fights and fighters, how I would envisage the outcome of fantasy matchups, and more besides, I try to to keep an open mind when other posters opinurate their thoughts on the above, nobody knows everything, I have followed boxing for 55 years and thought I knew quite a lot, until I joined our wonderful community, so much have I learned its mind boggling, thats why its important for members to take on board the posts of fellow subscribers with an air of openness, and be tolerant of different points of view, and if the post doesn't chime with your thoughts and opinions , so be it, no need for insults, name calling, and put downs, that way lies dissent and division, I believe the forum is in a better place then when I joined over 5 years ago, and I would like to believe in my small tiny way, have ever so slightly helped in this evolution, who knows, any way once again thanks for your own post which I found profound and illuminating.
    stay safe buddy, chat soon.
    Mike.

Good news and bad news for Moses.

The bad news is that Usyk boxes his block off. The good news is, at 20, he still has more than enough time to recover, learn and make the most of the experience. It isn't like he's 40 and it's his last hurrah and it's do or die.

More than likely but if he has a chink in his armor like his chin or stamina, Usyk will expose it and his aura of danger will be gone. He’s not knocking Usyk out fast, less than a 1 in a hundred shot.

They are at the 99m mark and the rest of the field hasn't come out from the sheds yet. Heck, some haven't even arrived at the stadium.

 At this early stage, God only knows (literally) how far Moses can go - nothing to necessarily complain about and not to wish him ill but still so much more yet to prove…..and that’s what it’s all about….proving yourself…it’s not about premature, heady extrapolations.

One would hope wiser heads prevail, even those with only financial interests in mind.

Is Moses a long term money-maker (in which case, we potentially get to see all nine miracles) or do they want a quick and easy one-off payday (followed by exile from Riyadh Season)?

We know no more about Itauma than we did before the Whyte debacle. Hrgovic would be a sensible match,Usyk would not.

 Yes the 9 miracles are no mean thing and should not be counted or unduly preempted before they hatch…if they ever do.
