1st name that came to mind when I saw the thread title.

Notable for his longevity, but never a particularly special fighter @ any given time IMO. Plus what legacy he has is further marred by repeated PED violations/suspensions.

Bowe, Lewis, Vitali, Tucker, Grant, Golota, Akinwande . Holmes and Bugner were rangy by 70s standards.

He fought Savarese and Cooney but it goes without saying why he’d select them.

Agreed on Williams, but I think he gets talked up in tandem with Liston…their fights against each other are cited to boost their legacy. And that may well be legit..I’m not saying they’re necessarily overrated, just that they get more attention on the forums than I’d expect.

It's perhaps understandable why some observers might view Wlad as a boxer who fought scared at times. Those losses shaped Wlad's approach to bouts - which was, in the main, a strategic, safety-first imperative engineered by Steward.

Foreman would also pose a level of offensive threat that Wlad had not encountered before.

I can't speak to whether or not this would have a psychological impact on Wlad, but it's not unreasonable to suggest this could be the case.

Your opinion has nothing to do with the fact that Wlad was already sparked out by Foreman-sized fighters - which was the point.

Before the twenty title wins which easily made his career surpass Foreman’s.

Spoken like a true Foremaniac who for some reason gets perturbed by my command of “big words.”

Wlad’s record against fighters who are Foreman’s size or larger is likely better than Foreman’s total career. Your argument is nothing.

    Big words like ‘Foremaniac’?

If anything, that shows an utter lack of command.

The rest is just filler wrapped around an imagined argument - one that you’re really only having with yourself.

Do you think you could go and shadow-box somewhere else, please?

Notice how all of them were in the 90s, when Foreman was in his 40s after a decade lay-off.

But again, if you think Foreman ducked Holmes and Bugner (LMAO) not many can help you.

    Ron Lyle beat:
    * Jimmy Ellis (ranked #8 by the WBA at the time of the fight)
    * Oscar Bonavena (ranked #7 by the WBA at the time of the fight)
    * Earnie Shavers (ranked #7 by the WBA at the time of the fight)
    * Joe Bugner (ranked #9 by the WBA at the time of the fight)
    * Larry Middleton (ranked #5 by the WBA at the time of the first fight)
    * Buster Mathis (30-3 at the time, but not in the top 10)

    You saw me use nonsequitur.

You lost the argument already so now you’re just making personal attacks.

Especially that second run, without moorer (which is huge before any of his come at me) its legit just him beating up on set up guys, getting gift decisions, or getting outpointed and outboxed rather easily to be honest.
