Lapin has said that Usyk wants to keep the belt and Turyi will determine it.

Parker is the most deserving of the oppurtunity, I hope they can make it happen.

And you had to do so with excuses, while also holding Parker to a significantly higher standard. Surely you can see the difference in your judgement?

I mean not really. I could have highlighted Joyce being on the decline a bit as well but that would only further illustrate that he and Parker are pretty much on equal terms in terms of deserving a title shot based on recent wins.

I highly appreciate Parker as a boxer, but Usyk still jumps up a few notches, Usyk by UD.

As things stand now, Parker is literally the only one who deserves a title shot against Usyk.

Kabayel should at least beat one more contender and the longer he waits, the slower Usyk will get, which increases his odds to win. Itauma is not ready, he should have a few more fights first. Fury, AJ, and Dubois have all had their chances the last 4 years. Maybe Hrgovic, but I think that has the same issue they're worried about with Parker, the fight isn't going to sell. Chisroa would be yet another pointless rematch. The only other heavyweight somewhat known enough is Wilder, and he would need to win at least 1-2 more fights before that even becomes a possibility and against a notable name.

I'd rather suck off Anthony Joshua than watch Usyk fight Parker.

Kabayel is more deserving. Tougher, younger, less worn, sexier and a better style bodybashing Usyk and I've yet to see Kabayel fail to execute a solid gameplan or adapt his gameplan. He's smart, his feet are abit static but that applies to most heavys. Parker will get stuck on the end of Usyk's jab and left hand and that will be the fight although good chance Kabayel faces the same fate.

Parker hasn't done more than Kabayel. He struggled more with Zhang and knocked over a dead Wilder. Meanwhile Agit chinned over two hypejobs in Sanchez and Murkaanemdov and beat Zhang much more easily.

Usyk needs to rest that war torn, old, roid riddled body ready for his final or sub final retirement fight. He should fight a clear deserving foe. Parker Kaabel really should have fought each other this month or next to determine who gets the shot but nope management issues means can't happen.

When i'm in the Usyk Parker RBR thread then you know i've done the deed much to the dismay of my boyfriend Tyson Fury who to this day rejects my advances

Kabayel would give Usyk a far better fight than Parker, and Usyk knows this because he’s a smart man who knows his boxing, which is why he never ever mentions Kabayel’s name despite him being his WBC mandatory.

As for Parker being “by far the most deserving” opponent for Usyk, I don’t see a huge difference between beating shot Wilder, Zhang (dropped twice) and out of shape late notice Bakole, vs beating Makhmudov (then-undefeated), Sanchez (then-undefeated), and Zhang (dropped once). In fact I’d go as far to argue that Kabayel’s recent form is slightly more impressive than Parker’s.

Parker is deserving yes, but Kabayel is equally if not more deserving, and importantly Kabayel has a far harder style for Usyk.

As for Itauma, he’s not deserving, and it would be a silly move to go from shot Whyte straight to Usyk… but he’s such a fresh unknown quantity that Usyk-Itauma is a more exciting fight than Usyk-Parker.

I support Parker getting his title shot at Usyk but it’s a formality, he gets dominated and probably stopped.

Nobody said he didn't. But I'm not interested in watching another Fury situation unfold.

If he wants to retire, he can.

If he wants to continue to hold his belts, he can by defending them against his mandatories.

If he wants to give Fury and AJ another ten rematches, he can by dropping his belt and letting the rest of the division move on.

Had no idea they were meant to fight 5 years ago?

At that time Usyk had his first proper HW fight against Chisora which was actually quite competitive.

Wilder and Zhang were both top 5 when Parker faced them. Wilder being a former WBC champ with his only losses to Fury. Zhang coming off back to back KO wins against Joyce, who was widely considered to be the next best HW after Fury/Usyk at the time. Bakole (while late notice) was supposed to be the boogyman of the division that nobody else wanted to fight. He was also top ten for many here.

Apart from Kabayels impressive stoppage over an even older Zhang, Kabayels resume is near non-existent. Mahkmudov has done sweet FA since then, and Sanchez had a damn knee brace on because of an active injury.

But you can flip that and look at this another way; Wilder (avoided fighter at the time) Zhang (avoided fighter) and Bakole (bogeyman of the Rankings at the time) and all coming off highlight reel KO's. Makh (unproven journeyman whose best win was a 43 year old Takam) Sanchez (best win is maybe Junior Fa and went into that fight with an injured knee) and Zhang (who Parker already beat).

You can slice it up anyway you want and hammer personal bias into any conclusion. The problem with triangle theories and analyzing performances with matched opponents in the sport of boxing is that historixally time and again its been proven to mean nothing.

Parker is no more deserving than Kabayel or Hrgovic.
