How so? I typically don’t see anything unreasonable said about Floyd?

 

Has always been weird to me.

 

Frazier has no chance with any modern big guy seems to be a common one

 

George Foreman, Ken Norton and we’ll add Liston because I see what this is about, are not “**** on” say anything slightly discouraging about any of them and you’ll be dog piled lol they’re “Forum Darlings” if there ever were any.

 

Naseem Hamed does not get the respect he deserves on here

 

Tyson had 15 to 20 pounds on Frazier and 30 on Marciano. He also beat a bunch of good heavyweights who were a lot bigger and/or taller than him, but you knew all of that and left it out.

 

Aaron Pryor gets a lot of hate.
The "magic bottle " and Panama Lewis,
guilty by association syndrome.
Even though there was a 2nd fight, which Pryor beat Arguello even more convincingly
and Panama Lewis's many other
fighters he trained/assisted with
Including Roberto Duran, don't get the same scrutiny.
Almost everyone seems to key on Pryor's connection. Discredits him in his greatest
victory, As if nothing he did before or
after mattered...

 

Zale is widely accused of "cherry picking" for risking his title vs. a top 3 contender who was favored to beat him.

Ken Norton is mentioned in the "darlings" thread, but I think he's more appropriate for this 1, since there are people who think he automatically loses vs. any1 w/ even a pittance of power.

 

Ezzard Charles I guess,he was said to be boring at heavyweight.

But it might just be how I liked grapple-rumble matches.

 

I don’t care about the black bottle personally… it’s like everyone is probably on PED’s guys shoot up in the gym FFS, Duran used PED’s by admission “the stuff they give horses” but nobody derails a thread the way they do for Holyfield or Arron Pryor and say “oh how good would he be if…” nobody should care, evaluate them based on what’s on the screen not a hypothetical version it’s like me saying “What if Saddler wasn’t so dirty…” “What if Dempsey didn’t have cocaine?” beyond extreme cases like that guy that took the padding out of a glove, PED’s are just a part of boxing.

 

To some Ken Norton loses to anyone that hits harder than a ten year old girl and if it wasn't for his success against Muhammad Ali he would have been driving a truck.

 

He was KO’d by a 188lbs man and only took on anyone with a punch once the Ali money dried up or with George Foreman for the title… he was known to crack under pressure / fold and lack heart look for what people said about him, he sparred LHW’s because he’d lose heart with guys his own size.
