So you agree that Liston and Williams get crapped on too much.

Thank you muchly for your Freudian slip.

    Agree with everything.

I’ve always liked the fact that it was an Australian journo who dubbed Azumah “The Professor”.

His stoush against Sanchez still ranks as one of the ATG fights for me. Fire vs Ice.

Any champ slightly less capable and stoic than Sanchez might’ve been blown away by the unknown quantity that was Nelson as at the time.

Good point, he would have beaten quite a few top level guys that night.

You see some guys, they are promising but one tough loss see's them excused for the rest of their career and they fail to live up to the hype. Nelson had no fanfare and rebounded from this loss like a beast. Others, John Mugabi is a good example, it's one and done. Nelson came in with basically zero hype too. Nelson had that great substance and mental fortitude, a prerequisite of champions.

Marlon Starling - Starling isn't great, but he's in that murky area between very good and great, IMO. He had the misfortune of running into peak Donald Curry, who for my money, was an ATG H2H welterweight over a 9-10 fight period. Starling was the second best welterweight in the world for many, many years. More than one manager made the mistake of putting their prospect in with Starling, thinking he might be a stepping stone. Baret, Ayers and Simon Brown were all sent back to school after meeting Starling. He also put paid to Mark Breland's expected ascension to top shelf honors. He put a clinic on against Lloyd Honeyghan too. Starling, like Nelson, could be a bit lackluster at times, inconsistent. At other times he was brutal.

Since I didn’t see noneck post anything about foreman I can only assume you’re talking about Kamikaze.

Got sick of his rubbish and parasocial relationship with Foreman, and I’ve given up on the mods doing anything about his behavior so I’ve put the bloke on ignore

    1) I’m not lying

    2) Don’t project yourself on to me

    3) I appreciate and acknowledge a LOT of submissions from many different members that are knowledgeable and intellectually sound, over a broad range of subjects.

Don’t get yourself in a twist that my due recognitions don’t include any of your posts.

That’s just the way it goes.
