It would be war, Klitschko tattooing Bowe on the outside and Bowe tearing him up on the inside, albeit Bowe landing some solid jabs to close the distance. Who wins? If Bowe can cut him early-mid rounds, I think he takes it, either by cuts stoppage or being able to take advantage of his lack of vision by outworking, if he can’t cut him, a competitive Klitschko decision down the stretch.
Vitali breaks him down and knocks him out. Bowe's big giant whooshing overhand rights will have no success against a sharp operator like Vitali.
This is one of the few fights where Bowe doesn’t have a size advantage and he’s facing a durable opponent with a good outside game and punch. With Bowes porous defense he gets tagged often. If Riddick can find openings to bang his way to the inside and score he might make it a competitive match. Vitali wins by decision
It would be competitive but Bowe wins via decision due to his inside game and makes it a street fight, Vitali wouldn't be able to stay away from him all fight.
It’s hard for me to go with Bowe in any H2H matchup against a big heavyweight because he was unproven against them. He looked good against 6’7” Gonzales, but he was a stationary target. Bowe’s jab might cause Vitali some issues, and his inside game would be effective at times, but Vitali had superb conditioning and I think he could stay away from Bowe. I’m leaning towards Vitali by decision. Like Briggs, I see Bowe getting tagged all night by right hands and making it to the final bell.
Vitali Klitschko could win this one. Bowe would do well when he got inside but he would pay to get in there. Both could bang. Vitali's jab was heavy and damaging. I think that makes the difference in this.
