Most boring all time great

Me entering this thread expecting a nice range of discussion only to be met with my favorite boxers to watch being labelled as boring:

 

All I know is Johnny Nelson is the most entertaining.

I mean, his nickname says it all.

 

Was Hopkins ever in a great fight?

The best one I can think of was the first fight with Segundo Mercado as he got dropped twice and came away with a draw but other than that …?

Unquestionably a great performance but not a great fight.

Ali for the most part. He had a couple exciting fights, thankfully his bigger matches, but the rest often devolved into a snoozefest.

 

I mean, if you enjoyed it as a great fight it’s all good! I just wouldn’t say it was.
