Correct. Ike was always just a muscle brain.

No. Look at what fury did against klitschko. Usyk is a way better and more aggeessive version of that. Takes away all your securities by never standing in front of you and letting you settle. You can not grab and clinch usyk to fight in your own rhythm like klitschko did to save stamina and drain the opponent and negate risks.
And Usyk is very hard to find. So usyk has the perfect strengths against klitschko.

For a bout with pre prison ike he would indeed suffer an injury "not visible to the outside world" on short notice :D
    .
Talking today,s ike is of course nonsense.

You probably could've stopped at Ike wont get far. I would actually like to see him against another 50+ stalwart though. Oliver Mccall. Oliver is still active and has actually fought twice this year..............that would be an interesting train wreck.

Usyk has far more power than Byrd had.

No way could Foreman have the title at 52, that`s insane plus he was getting his ears boxed off till the last round of that fight.

A serious campaign, no. However, with luck, could he fight a lot over a few years and make some money? Yep. Fight all the other old men one by one. Call out dip**** YouTubers. Find aging journeymen with bigly losing records to beat up. Basically, turn himself into a circus act.

And do these fights without PED testing so he can be on HGH for recovery. (I'm sure he's juiced right now anyway). He's in great shape and seemingly well preserved. Definitely took care of himself, kept working out while in prison, etc.

We didn't see prime Ike. I'll say Usyk has a chance against the Ike from the Byrd fight. I recall Cokes saying Ike came in for a very short camp like two weeks and hardly did any sparring. You could tell Ike was slow and his timing and conditioning were of. He still adapted and timed Byrd up for the stoppage though. I could see Usyk possibly getting a decision against that Ike. I see Usyk getting stopped by the Ike from the Tua fight. I think that version of Tua with the head movement and high workrate KOs Usyk too.

Wlad used his height and reach well. Straight jab, straight right hand. Could move his feet a bit for a big guy. Good stuff. Always felt he got hometown stopped in the Joshua fight.

Evidence of high Boxing IQ is setting traps even though you are slow and out of shape. Gradually lining your slick faster opponent up until BOOM!!! Anybody that watches the Byrd fight and says Ike didn't have a good boxing computer in his head is a hater. That adaptation and eventually getting the timing down up to feinting the right hand to get Byrd to turn the wrong way for that upper hook was magnificent. Big bumbling brutes like Dubios, Joshua, Chisora etc. don't have that capability.

Anybody that tips any version of Ike against Usyk is a bona fide moron.

And I quite like Ike as a boxer.

Ike has a good chance in his prime. Good power, great stamina, great chin. He's got it all on paper. But not quite proven. Resume too short.

Idk about far more power, they seem about even to me. They have a lot of similarities but Byrd’s peak was way shorter, Usyk seems to been in peak his whole career and still going strong.
