He sure could. I can see several gaps in this guy's technique and approach that a guy like Frazier might take advantage of. He is quite green.

Teremoana is quick and explosive and has a nice jab. Don't know how he'll do over a longer fight and don't know how durable he is, but the power and quickness look good. In that video he knocked out a 9-0 fighter at MSG, so he is moving in the right direction and might have the right kind of backing. He is somebody to watch.

Anybody he hits is probably in trouble, his punches look strong and quick. Looks like Itauma has some dangerous fighters in his future. Teremoana has some good amateur experience against a big southpaw (Jalolov) too.

Do you think that Teremoana is due a step up? And if yes, to what level? Its good to see he is fighting guys with positive records at least. I am excited to see how he develops.

A guy his size could certainly risk going up a level in terms of skill. He's unlikely to get hurt even if his opponent outclasses him in terms of skill because the other guy is likely to be much smaller. Plus if I'm not mistaken he has some South Sea blood in him? Those guys are tough as nails.

Teremoana looks like he could step up. The opponent in this video was not a push over but Teremoana dominated. I had never heard of Teremoana until today so I know next to nothing about him. It'd be interesting to talk to somebody who has been in the gym with him and find out more.

If the person who made the thread hadn't mentioned that Teremoana was 6'6", 270 I would not have guessed it, he moves like a smaller fighter. He looks like somebody has drilled him to use angles, he moved to the right after landing the right hand a few times. Didn't get to see a lot in this short video, but he looks formidable. He also has what looks like an excellent jab to go along with his power punches. Unless he lacks stamina or durability he's going to be a problem.

For someone as big as Teremoana, stamina is going to be a massive issue. He hasn't been past 2 rounds as a pro & rarely went the full 3 as an amateur. I speculate that the difference between him & Jalolov in the Olympics was that Jalolov got several decent 3 rounders under his belt in the month immediately prior to the Olympic tournament (including against the Russian David Surov & the H/W gold medalist Lazizbek Mullojonov). Teremoana had blokes pulling out of fighting him & getting pole-axed in the first. Stamina cost him a win over Jalolov in the Olympics. It was even on three scorecards after 2 rounds with the fight there to be won by whoever brought it home hardest.

Having stopped all of his professional opponents since the Olympics in the first, they're in a tricky situation in terms of moving him up in class. Even fighting for the Australian title is problematic. The guy who holds it did 10 hard rounds last start against a tough opponent. You can't match Teremoana with someone capable of doing 10 hard rounds when he's never been past two as a pro or three as an amateur & that was quite a while ago. They need to schedule him in a couple of 6 rounders against tougher opposition & then move him up in class from there. Rush things & all they will do is get him beaten. Making money needs to take a back seat to developing him properly in the short term.
