If Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko swapped eras, would AJ have done the same?

What Wlad did, for a full decade, is special.

It takes a special kind of mindset to do what he did. Plus the talent to pull it off.

    Agreed. Joshua doesn't manage it.

Wlad is considered a top-15 ATG despite never fighting his main rival. As you say, what he did is why he is recognized.

To be honest, it's highly unlikely any of this current era could have managed it. The consistent activity levels alone would have been insurmountable.
Joshua has the body for the schedule, but not the equivalent skill and mentality.
Fury had the skill, but we know how inconsistent he could be.
And Usyk's body would likely have broken down trying to keep such a schedule.

The hatred that Joshua generates is hilarious; he really does live in some people's heads. I don't think he'd have the same reign. I don't think he'd have beaten David Haye or a couple of others, but he'd have taken apart quite a lot of the same opposition. He truly lives in some people's minds, but Wlad dominated a terrible era, and while he was consistent, the opposition was dog****, similar to the Larry Holmes era.

You might as well be with your ridiculous takes. Imagine thinking a 39 year old lethargic Povetkin is better than a much younger Povetkin with less wear and tear. Imagine thinking he wasn't on PEDs in his early 30s LOL

Prime Povetkin shuts joshuas consciousness off

Wlad fought a better version of Povetkin. But he didn’t fight peak Povetkin on peds. Joshua beats the version Wlad fought.

Also Wad should have been DQ’d. Idk how people try to credit Wlad for that win.

You cannot be serious with this crap, joshua struggled with an old worn out Povetkin and a fossilized Klitschko

Prime Povetkin discombobulates joshua with a power shot and the fight is over

Cant see it. Aj is either hit or miss on some nights mentally. Wlad was ON IT Most of the time. That laser focus was the klitschko brothers big strength

Wlad should have been deducted point second point and make him stop excessive holding or dq. Then we would have seen real fight what I do think Wlad would have won but that was just bull**** with horrible referee
