Yes, Galento beats Norton. No, it wouldn’t be competitive.

….and that was bait. Good on you for falling for it.

Ever since the great ESB discovery of ‘25 concluded that left hooks are Norton’s kryptonite, he’s lost basically every fantasy thread on this forum due to the sheer fact that his opponent has power and has a left hook.

Could we finally get Galento his first forum W? Will the war between 70s glazers and 30s glazers ever end? The answer to both is probably no.

Jerry Quarry had a great left hook, and was much better than Galento.

You had to have great technique and combinations to penetrate Norton, because he had a great block, you had to find the gap, then throw a punch quickly enough to a new gap that’s opened up, and you need technique and combinations to do that, Galento wouldn’t be able to go from one punch to the other quick enough to open up the defence of Norton, Norton would bust him up with the jab, defend the lunging left hook with the cross guard and would see it coming from miles away, and would have enough time to smother Galento before he gets a next punch off, Norton would push him back, Galento would tire and Norton would pick him apart.
