Is Fury the best fighter ever with a horrible physique?

The answer is Fury or Toney. I don't know why people are bringing up Andy Ruiz. Fury achieved more, was/is better.

Although Ruiz has to own the record for sloppiest looking physique to win a HW strap.

 

Ali was never exactly ripped in the seventies. Fury never accomplished squat, no matter his physique.

 

Any average man would like to have Ali's 70s physique though, it wasn't horrible by any means.

 

James Toney is the best fighter ever with a horrible physique. And his physique being horrible really only was between CW - HW. he was very solidly built at MW, especially SMW and even LHW.

And contrast Tyson with Tommy. What a difference a different mom can make I guess....

 

he was ripped for a few fights. FOTC, Norton 3, etc.

 

Tyson got the good genes though when it comes to boxing.

 

Mikey Garcia was pretty flabby for pretty much his whole career. Decent definition in his arms and upper body but always had a gut. Quite a few of the Robert Garcia trained guys don't have great bodies even though they have good conditioning and might be big for the weight, like Juan Diaz as well.

 

So Ruiz isn't crap?

 

He is, but not in this era

 

Writing crap like that only succeeds in making you look stupid.

 

Fundora deserves a mention.
