The Canelo vs Crawford prediction thread.

Crawford by stoppage.......(breaking him down to the body)

or

Canelo by stoppage.........overhand right to Crawford as he's being aggressive.

This fight is intriguing because as skilled as both fighters, though heavily skilled, have flaws that can be exposed for their opponent to find success. This fight will be more about who can make the adjustments and control the action round to round, rather than a size/power oriented match up like many keep pointing to.

 

Canelo easily, wide UD.

 

Crawford by boring (Postol approach), controversial, close, split decision. Canelo is wiser and less prideful now, if he can't win by power or boxing, he'll settle for a Decision loss (eg. Bivol loss, Loma's initial approach to Teofimo). Same with Crawford, but Bud can do his Postol approach unlike Canelo, so razor edge to him.

 

Canelo by TKO between rounds 6 and 10

 

Crawford SD, cause at least 1 judge will be on the take

 

I'm hoping crawford can take some early rounds and force canelo to press. If that happens I see a brutal beating. My fear is that canelo fights real defensive so not much happens and just gets a dec.
I'm gonna say canelo is getting paid 150 mill so he's coming to win and crawford beats the brakes off of him. Runs him into bodyshots. The harder he comes the worse the beating.

 

So something like 8-4 or 9-3
8-4 is prob a draw realisticaly.

I'm picking Crawford solely because I want him to win. I have no confidence in him winning................

Canelo by a boring UD of something like 116-112, 117-111 with no KD for both sides. I hope I am wrong but I just can't imagine this fight becoming a burner at all.

 

What is the Postol approach you keep referring to.

It's been a while since I've watched that fight, but I don't remember it being boring. Crawford boxed beautifully. Exposed the nonsense as people were claiming Crawford was avoiding him because Crawford was gunning for a fight vs Manny.
