Is Floyd going to teach Bud how to beat a young Canelo that tried to beat him at his own game or a more mature Canelo very comfortable with his own fighting style?

He honestly hasn't changed that much.

People act like Álvarez transformed from Carlos Maussa into Pernell Whitaker over twelve years. It's so goofy.

    That's a weird take.

Canelo's skills are a lot closer to Pernell than Maussa.

Yeah, rather than a KO I see that power making Crawford hesitant and letting Canlo take over. Shades of Charlo even though I think Crawford will be more competitive.

But Crawford could go the Bivol route also and choose just the right moments to engage and then step on the gas when Canelo slows down in the last four. Bivol has an extremey disciplined defence, though, and is much more used to take punches on his guard and arms from fighters of that size and bigger.

I never said he was ever like Maussa. It was ab example of a hyperbolic gap in skill.

i think the problem is that bud gets hit. often. he has a tremendous offence, and that kept most of his past opponents at bay, or overwhelmed them. but canelo is the most skilled fighter bud has ever faced. he is also the hardest hitting, and the most durable. there is no way bud has any idea what all that means at real fight speed and intensity. it changes your fight plan quick.
canelo has the power to end crawford at any time. if he finds one of his buttons. as soon as canelo digs in the first one flush, bud is going to realize that. if he chooses to protect those buttons first, its going to look like a slicker charlo. if he chooses to try and beat him to the ko, then we could get a hell of a fight, with buds corner throwing in the towel.

    Ryan Rhodes is my bet.

But don't forget Ryan Rhodes was on a tear then and well deserving of the title shot.

Could be reasonably argued his win over Jamie Moore was better than anything Canelo had done at that point.

    Meant to select canelo points

I am a huge Crawford fan, probably my second favourite of all time (fav not saying best) - I just feel the size difference might too much.

I believe Crawford is a lot better boxer. His speed and ability will be unlike much canelo has faced before but I don’t think he will have even power to bother canelo and canelo could bully and control the fight.

    hope I am wrong

Is it true that Boots handled Canelo in sparring?

Boots was putting hands on Canelo, there is no footage but he was smiling from ear to ear in that picture and Canelo looked a little puffy in the face. I know what i see
